Dream
Hi everyone.. thanks to all who kept me in ur prayers.. i'm feeling much better now, running nose caught and all since yesterday.. Thank You, Lord for healing me! What's more is that though i have 4 more projects due next week, i can feel the life of God in me! That means that though i may be busy, i won't be stressed cos the life of God sustains me and He will pull me through all those assignments! Hallelujah!
On the bust from school yesterday, the Lord was just dropping me some ideas to deal with those assignments. He gives us wisdom when we ask for it. And He gives us strength too... i was committing them unto the Lord in prayer and though they're like gonna be due really soon i dun feel the pressure cos I have His peace! Lord, thank You for giving me the wisdom and strength to deal with my schoolwork. I pray that my frens will also trust in You and receive from You the grace to go through everything that they're facing in life! In Jesus' Name, amen! :)
Blogging in school now... last night i had a dream.. or maybe it was a series of dreams... i figured that i'd better blog them before i forget about them..
Ok the first one i dun really remember the whole of it but what i do recall is that there was someone who i felt was ready to receive Christ. He looked broken before God, like weeping and it seems that the Holy Spirit has prepared his heart... so when i asked him whether he would like to invite Christ into his life, he agreed and i led him to the sinner's prayer. Honestly, i dun think i know who the person is.. but what i believe this is all about is that God is preparing people outhere.. He's breaking them and working in their lives so that they will receive Him... and we should have the grace to be able to recognise this work of God and see when they are ready and not stall for time any longer but to present the gospel to them.. Recognition of God's work and timing is the key..Hallelujah! [on a side note, let's continue to pray for our frens coming for 333 that the Lord would prepare them... i believe He's gonna do some serious work in our midst.. let's all press in with a sens eof expectation, yeah? ;) ]
Ok i dreamt about going back to my alma mater and watching their drama production (dun ask me why i saw some girls in that production in my dream).. well anyway, they put up such a horrid performance.. i mean like it was terrible.. i wouldn't even consider it rehearsal standard.. it's like everyone was not serious to the task, no focus, they were just playing around, doing their own stuff (almost like they're drunk).. one would wonder why they were even onstage lah! And guess wad- they didn't even finish the play lah.. like i mean they just decided to stop it! not because they were so lousy that the teacher had to pull them off.. but because they simply decided to! Not because they were tired, discouraged or anything but more like cos they were disinterested and just decided to stop out of their own whim and fancy! As in like- have you seen a bunch of kinds not having a sense of committment, a sense of respect, a sense of ownership?? these people were probably the worst of the lot! Very ill-disciplined... Then there was the teacher and i saw her giving some debrief to the whole production team... and there were 3 youths in charge of it all.. they were supposed to be the ones who took us the leadership positions.. and guess wad.. they seemed quite disinterested and unmotivated that i would even wonder why they were put in such important positions in the first place.. When the teacher was giving instructions, i was even wondering whether they were even taking note of them... i could see one of the three nodding her head and responding to the teacher and kind of acknowledging that she understood.. I could sense that to some extent, she did.. but it didn't seem to motivate her much...
Sad to say that i see many parallels in ministry... I'm not gonna elaborate about it.. but I'm gonna speak about the role of the teacher cos it concerns what the Lord is teaching to me about my own life and His dealings with me. I know the teacher personally to be someone who's more focused on the product of the theatre production rather than the process.. and perhaps she's someone that i identify with cos many times i'm like that.. and the Lord has been teaching me for some time now about how the process is more important than the product. And the Lord is saying to me that one of the reasons why we see that the youth are so unmotivated and have little sense of ownership in the ministry is cos many a times, we are too product-oriented.. we are too caught up with the end result, what is produced, that many a times, it takes the joy and the learning out of the entire process. Yes, the product is important but the process is the way there.. it's about the journey.. if people enjoy what they are doing, if people see a point in what they're doing and come to a convergence where they embrace a common goal and vision, it makes the process, the journey there more worthwhile. Everyone, in every level of involvement, from leadership to membership, has to catch that vision...
Lemme take some time to meditate on this... God bless y'all! ;)
