Cleansing

That's what God is doing in the church. You might come to me and say, "Well, chris, it seems that He's been doing that for a long time now" yes and in fact, He's gonna do that until He's satisfied. It's for our own good and it's necessary so that we can move on...

Was just looking at the past words i've witten regarding the church last night and i came across what i wrote regarding Amos 5:24 last year and earlier this year... Then early in the morning i had a dream where i saw a waterfall and together with the white flow of water was lightning... and i knew that it had to do with the work of cleansing that the Lord wanted to do... Cos the water and the colour white represents cleansing and the waterfall talks about the judgments of God that are gonna roll down from Him and from the top.. that means the first to experience it are leaders... Furthermore, the sound that a waterfall makes is like the sound of thunder- the sound of His judgments and I saw lightning in my dream together with the water cos the lightning talks about Him striking those things in our lives that keep us from Him. It talks about Him striking and judging all those hindrances to bring forth breakthrough and victory.

After the waterfall scene i saw fire in my dream... and fire also talks about a work of purging and work of purification in our midst. This evening i saw fire again when we were supposed to pray during prayer meeting and i was in the group that prayed for the music ministry.. and what God wants to do is do a work of cleansing amongst us too so that we can serve Him in purity.

Some thoughts for us to digest...

WMD Camp Aftermath

I thought that i needed to post this to track what has been happening the past few days.. while it's undeniable that God is moving in our midst, we all hafta learn to sustain it...

So guess wad happened on sunday?? Some of us danced for service! And it went so well for something so spontaneous.. God's grace was upon us.. Uncle Paul was just asking me last Friday afternoon during the dance workshops when were we gonna start dancing for service... and Dot also came to me with the same idea.. guess wad- Pastor Ban opened the door for us without us even asking! As we were about to enter into the sanctuary before the first song started, alex just arrived and was about to go in when i asked him to join us and dance with us.. and guess wad- he readily agreed! It was quite sporting of him. I think that's quite commendable considering the fact that he only attended 1 dance workshop since he was only around on the first day so he didn't even get to attend the tambourine session but i just passed him one and he picked it up without fuss. Now that's the kind of attitude that encourages me!

What i felt we were doing during the service was that we were setting a precedence... we were up there not just dancing but also worshipping and praying spontaneously before the Lord and before the entire congregation. So guess wad- those ppl who don't enter into worship and who were more interested watching us up there- what were they looking at? They were looking at a bunch of young ppl worshipping. I certainly hope that puts them to shame. I hope for us to be an example in passionate worship, in wild abandon... when we stopped dancing and just lifted up our hands and closed our eyes in surrender to His Majesty, i hope the rest of the church would get the cue and better do likewise. When we joined hands to pray in a circle, i wanted them to see us so that they will know what appropriate worship would be like- not sitting around and folding your arms. I hope to have made a spiritual impression, a visual imprint in their memories that would cause every lukewarm Christian rethink about their relationship with God or lack thereof. And i want this example to spread like wildfire...

Sunday afternoon was spent meeting with the chairs and mentors to discuss the next half of the year... and we wanna facilitate what God is doing! We wanna build up on the camp and continue to challenge our young people to move forward in God... It's gonna be easy!! What was that you say? It's gonna be easy? Yeah. It's gonna be easy- if we have the whole leadership with us and just as passionate for God's work as we are.

Monday. Had dinner with the servers at Ele's house and we spent some time just dreaming and discussing about things that we wanna see in the youth. Guess wad- if the whole youth ministry is gonna move forward, it's gonna start with us and it's a huge responsibility. If the youth doesn't move because we don't move, we're responsible. If we kill the fire because of poor stewardship, we're accountable. We're accountable to the rest of the youth if we move or not cos it's a mandate that God has placed upon our shoulders... so i have one thing to say for anyone involved in leadership position: Stop thinking about yourselves! Stop being so selfish! Start living your life right for God!

My two cent's worth...

Anyways, moving on... Tuesday morning, i woke up with a word from the Lord which i forgot incidentally cos i went back to sleep... But as i sought Him the rest of the day, He brought it back to me... I believe it's for the servers.. "Give it all you've got and never look back" Now is the time to pursue God like never before, to believe Him for greater things like never before.. to start dreaming like never before.. and guess wad- to pay the price and make sacrifices like never before. Stop. What was that, chris? Did you just say make sacrifices like never before? Yeah i did. We have to pay the price to get us there! Lotsa faith, lotsa prayer! Cos lukewarm leadership aint gonna get us to the promise.. remember what God did to the rest of the 12 spies apart from Joshua and Caleb... they din get in..

Tuesday evening, i was messaging Jared, David and Shaun- the SA guys (Auntie Peggy's frens) and just engaging them.. and thank God for the open door to minister to them... now i have a weekly appointment with Shaun to help him with English... I'm already doing a lot of stuff.. so why do i take some time to offer to do more stuff? Passion. It's what drives me.. and i'm fuelled now more than ever for the kingdom of God...

Hmmm... i dunno how many ppl still bother to read my blog but for those who do manage to read this post, i have a challenge i wanna issue- it's for whoever reads this and anyone can take it up. I dun wanna draw attention to myself but i challenge anyone who reads this post to be more passionate for God and His work than i am.. and to demonstrate it by his/her actions (not that i'm some kind of benchmark and not that i'm more passionate than anyone on the planet or even the ministry for that matter)... I'm just a normal guy.. with normal school stuff and the usual passion-killers that people encounter in their daily lives. But what makes me tick? It's my relationship with God and knowing that my God is real.. so i wanna ask you: Who's your God? Is He different from mine? What's your passion-killer? Is it any different from mine? Are you able to overcome? Will you stand with me and change the world?

One step at a time...

WMD Camp

Havent posted in a longt time.. been quite lazy lah cos i was "recuperating" from all the admin stuff that had to be done.. anyways, WMD was great and God was speaking to my heart...

Let's start from Day 0...

Wednesday 20 June
Had a lot of spiritual attacks.. especially in the area of discouragement... if you read my two previous posts you will know why i was feeling that way.. but the very purpose of all that was for me to keep my eyes off myself and off man and onto Him. It was like God was pushing me and stretching my faith and training me real time to always look to Him...

Yeah so i was praying in the afternoon while preparing for camp. I was asking God to change the education system cos i really hate it, the way that it fights with us for the attention of God's ppl. But the Lord was telling me that it was gonna get more competitive.. that there will even come a time when ppl will have to make a choice between church and school and the Holy Spirit said "but you have to teach them to honour Me"

Went for Wed prayer meeting and Dot and Joanna joined me late at night. We camped in church cos we went to stack up the chairs and set up the place for the camp. Den we had one last round of prayer for the camp. During the prayer, i just sensed that there was an angel covering me and protecting me as i was bowing down b4 the Lord- i believe he was sent to protect me against spiritual attacks. The Holy Spirit also said to me "I am with you" and that simple sentence just gave me the assurance i needed for the camp. What i also sensed during the time of prayer was that in the camp we were doing something that affects the church, the atmosphere, not just the youth... it was gonna affect the destiny of the church, where God wants us to be. :) When we retired for the night, I didn't really sleep much cos i had a lot of things to do...

Thursday 21 June (Day 1)
Woke up very excited. While Dot and Jk were still sleeping and i couldn't do some admin work cos i had to use upstairs, i decided to spend some time with the Holy Spirit. So i went to new place sanctuary, popped in the CFNI cd and started to speak in tongues really loudly as if i was trying to pull God down or something... den the Holy Spirit interrupted me and said "What are you doing? I am already here." Well many times we have that mentality that we need to do something in order to have God around but the Lord was teaching me to trust Him, to keep my eyes on Him and to rely on Him...

Had communion for the first session followed by a time of ministry and Pastor Ban joined us and everyone was ministered to by the Lord.. went beyond the allocated time actually but who cares cos the Holy Spirit was moving? Den we went for the dance workshop in the afternoon led by Sock Kian, Angie, Christopher and Josephine from Toa Payoh methodist. (Found out that Josephine was actually my primary sch fren but i din recognise her... :P) I joined Sock Kian and Christopher's group with the flags and the streamers... it was really great to see the guys picking up their worship tools so easily without needing to coax them. God was really removing inhibitions.. :) I enjoyed worshipping God with them, especially when we had to use the tools to dance to the worship music. It was really uplifting!

Andrew took us for the evening session and some from CHS youth joined us. Just sensed that the Lord was calling us that evening to war for the breakthrough... not to remain passive but to really seek Him and press in so after worship we spent some time praying in the spirit. Den Andrew shared and we had a powerful time of ministry by the Holy Spirit. Den Andrew joined us for "dinner" and he really shared a lot of testimonies and inspiring stuff to the servers lah... i believe we were all challenged by his words.

Friday 22 June (Day 2)
Woke up like a popsicle cos the aircon was too cold and my nose was responding to the temperature like a waterfall... Didn't really have a good night's sleep but the day had to go on... So i was quite tired and sleepy in the morning.. and not quite feeling well... the dance instructors came and everyone broke into their groups.. i spent a considerable time just resting in the youth room and the nursery cos i wasn't feeling very well... but anyway, while resting at the nursery, i was praying and asking God for healing... den i had the impression that He was saying that He had already healed me and that what i had to do was to act on it. So i went to the flag class, picked up a pair and danced with everyone and as i was dancing i could feel the anointing on me and i claimed my healing. Sometimes, we dun see results immediately but we have to act in faith and claim it!

We had lunch and the groups had some time to prepare for their presentations. They presented in the afternoon and the instructors taught them the unity dance (hinei ma tov) before we had a time of worshipping God in dance... the thing is, Dot, who i asked to play for that session, had to go to NIE for a briefing so i was wondering what to do cos i didn't even prepare scores for it. It turns out that God sent Amanda there and she took over (big thanks)! :D Den alvin took the guitar and played... so we worshipped God... but the music was lacking something... it needed drums lah.. actually i din wanna put too many ppl on the worship team cos i wanted all to worship God in dance lah but after a few songs, i decided to get Jerry to play and He was so willing to! :) The worship progressed after that and the session went great. God's presence was there, ppl were worshipping. Den we had a time of impartation from the trainers. When we were gonna end, the trainers taught us actions for Trading my Sorrows and Love in any Language.. and while they were doing that song i was just crying before the presence of God. Uncle Paul shared with us what God impressed upon Him den we had dinner.

One of the things that the Holy Spirit impressed upon me while i was watching the trainers teach Hinei ma Tov was that this church would start holding worship conferences. I dunno about you but i'm quite excited about it. :) Really thank God for the trainers.. i believe that it wun be the last time we would be working with them... When we had a time of worship at night, there was a difference in the atmosphere in worship. Some from THOP were with us and Andrew also brought 3 of his youths from generations to join us and to minister to us. God moved in our midst again and touched many ppl. Den Andrew and his team ate dinner and they were telling us lotsa funny stories... :P

Saturday 23 June (Day 3)
Andrew was with us for the whole day. We had some teaching during the first session and after, we had a time when we exercised our spiritual gifts and prayed for one-another. I took the keyboard during that session and i was amazed at how the Holy Spirit used my fingers cos it was the first time ever that i was able to flow with the Roland! i always used the Yamaha cos i din use to be able to flow with the Roland but God did something! :) Den Jerry, Jon Sr and Rayson came over to pray for me and i was touched by that move and their heartfelt prayers... Den later, all the guys came over to pray! Like wow! The Lord was also using their prayers to confirm what He wants to do in my life. And i saw alvin gathering the guys before they came over to pray for me and sharing with them something God has put in his heart. God's really doing something different! Amen!

Jason took the second session. He's one of Andrew's worship leaders at Cornerstone and he shared with us his testimonies and his walk with God. He's really a bold and inspiring person. During the time of ministry, he came over to pray for me and one of the things that he said was that i've limited God... and it was true... now i just cant begin to imagine where God would bring me if i din limit Him. Cos if God has brought me where i am now while i have limited Him, what more if i dun? :)

THOP and CHS joined us at full force for the final session! The front part was packed lah and there was a kind of synergy amongst the youth when there were so many ppl. Andrew asked Jason to lead the worship but Jason wasn't prepared so he asked me to lead (like barely half an hour before the start of the session)... haha... but it was fun lah.. i quickly got the powerpoint out and Alvin, Dot and Jerry were ready to play... and as the Holy Spirit brought liberty in our expression of worship, it was just very easy to lead and the presence of God was there.. there was a freedom in the atmosphere where people would not be afraid to just shout, cry out to God and worship Him in wild abandon... den after the worship, a good number of Sojourners sat on the red carpet to hear the message lah.. it was fun! :) During the altar call, the Holy Spirit moved again and brought breakthrough in the lives of ppl! Den we prayed and prohesied over Andrew, Jason and Alvin! The number that the Lord gave me while praying for Alvin was 80. That's what we're believing God for- 80 youth! (Andrew's youth, Nigel, said the night before that our youth ministry will double but i din come to know about it until after so it was a confirmation.) I believe the Lord has blessed us indeed!

We had dinner with them, THOP key leaders and Uncle Jem in the nursery where the nice aunties whipped up something excellent for us. It was a great time of fellowship and interaction lah... God really moved in the camp, no question about it! Now, we need to pursue the next steps to victory! :)

Thanksgivings:

-Firstly i wanna thank God for whom the camp exists, for whom everything that happened in the camp exists and through whom it was all possible. Thank You Holy Spirit for being there and for being with me throughout!

-I wanna thank the instructors... For Sock Kian, Angie, Josephine and Christopher for making the sacrifice to take time off from work to come down and impart to us. :D For Andrew, his 3 guys and Jason for coming down and ministering to us and inspiring us with their testimony.

-The great aunties who cooked from the 2nd day onwards and some of whom sponsored the cost of the food as well! It was delightful! Auntie Maureen, Auntie Poh Leng, Auntie Ivy, Auntie Heng Jee, Auntie Karen, Auntie Jasmine... And Uncle Peter who also helped in transportation...

-Pastor Ban for arranging with the caterer on the 1st day and also for sharing and conducting communion.

-All those who served readily on the worship team, especially those who had to serve spontaneously without prior notice, especially Rena who played during some altar calls.. :)

-All the ICs and group leaders for being there.

-All the Servers for their support in everything, whether it's teachinical support or even spiritual support. Thanks especially for those who kept me in prayer through those times of discouragement i went through...

-The mentors for being around... Auntie Lee Noi who helped pray for ppl, Uncle Paul and Auntie Grace who came down early from overseas just to be with us.

-Everyone who made the sacrifice to be there despite having other things on outside...

-All who helped out in one way or another! :)

This is just the beginning!

God's reply...

"Didn't you say you were going to be contented with just Me being there?"

Sorry God... in preparing for camp, i forgot that the most important Person in attendance is actually You.. It doesn't depend on who comes.. it doesn't depend whether Sojourners are there or not.. so long as You are there i'll be contented.. forgive me for taking my eyes off You and looking to man and reacting in such a faithless and negative way... thank You Lord for showing me Your way.. Lord i have made You too small in my eyes.. Holy Spirit, may You glorify Jesus and show me and Sojourners how BIG Jesus is and how You Lord are enthroned over all and over the hearts of man.. Thank You... :)

Letter to God...

Dear Daddy,

My heart is so burdened right now.. WMD camp is tomorrow and im just very upset with the kind of attitude that people show You. We've informed the youth about camp ages ago but then many of them still placed their own agendas and would rather not go for the camp. Some are going but then they're leaving here and there as if they're treating the camp like some hotel.. Lord You see many of our hearts and how we have that kind of attitude problem... And Lord my heart is just burdened to see them displaying this kind of casual bo chap attitude before You... Lord You deserve so much better! Why is our attitude towards the things of God like that? Don't they know that You're gonna do something wonderful and powerful in our midst? Don't they know that You're gonna move mightily? And yet they forsake Your presence for other immaterial things... like going for cca.. many of us treat cca like they're more important than You. Lord we're hard of hearing... won't You just open our eyes and ears.. Help us to recognise Your set times of divine appointment... Teach us that Your kingdom and Your work in our lives is far more important than ccas or school or whatever else we may have! Help us to see that You're longing for us, that You're calling out to us! God, it's time for us to fear You once again! God, no words can express how I'm feeling now... i'm actually grieving deep down inside me... Lord, show Yourself strong! Teach them a lesson! Call us back to Yourself! Reveal to Your people once again that You're a God who is holy, who is not to be taken lightly, who is not to be taken for granted! Show Yourself to us, Lord... and change us from deep within. Holy Spirit, it's Your work... it's out of my hands already.. it's out of my control... Lord, do something!

Your son,
Chris

God Talk

I just wanna collate what the Lord has been sharing with me lately cos i haven really been blogging much...

Had a dream last Friday morning (you dun really expect me to wake up early do you...). I dreamt that i was in an army camp of sorts (what's this about army?? it seems that God is emphasising something about it nowadays.. like CC Camp's Armour of God and Sojourners WMD Camp which i initially intended to be a play on the military concept of Weapons of Mass Destruction)... Anyway, in that camp, i was being chased around by this guy who was trying to kill me.. i believe He was satan (when i was sharing this with CC, they were all asking me how he looked like and they were giggling cos apparently Auntie Ivy asked me to wear the devil costume during the camp for a short demon-stration).. So anyway, here's the reason why he wanted to kill me- he was jealous of God's favour upon my life and my high standing and high stature with God.. hmmm.. now that's something to think about.. so he was chasing me all over the place and all and i was trying to get away until somehow, i received a revelation from God that i have the power.. so what i did was i picked him up and threw him over a bridge... hahaha.. but anyway, he got out of it and tried to get into some kind of guardhouse.. and i was afraid that he'd get in cos all the closed circuit tv in the guardhouse would alert him to my whereabouts and furthermore, i was afraid that the cameras might have some lasers on them and that they might be controlled remotely to hit me... so i watched but guess wad.. he couldn't even get into the guardhouse.. so i was relieved for a short while until he took out his pistol and aimed it at me.. then i ran... and there was this shack and i decided to hide behind it.. and my reason for doing so was because satan would naver think of looking for me there- cos i was someone with favour, stature and a certain standing and dignity in God and that shack was just some run-down old storage place where dignified ppl dun go... so i hid there and i woke up.. with dreams like that, you'll be more tired than rested i guess... then the Holy Spirit was speaking to me and saying that even if satan shot me, God still had the power to raise me up! In the dream, God showed me what to do actually when he took out the pistol- just stand in front of him totally open for him to fire a shot at point blank... And guess wad- whatever satan does, i still win! :)

The thing is, the devil wants to keep us running around, afraid, not knowing the power and authority available to us in God... he wants us running around and tiring us with ministry and chasing us until we have no strength left to do something useful for the kingdom.. he wants us to stay in fear and hiding.. Oh what would the church be like when it rises up in Christ's resurrection power and authority! Nothing can stop us!

So after that dream on friday morning, did some stuff and den i went back again to lie down and ponder the dream (and maybe get another one).. and after i went to sleep again, i woke up with an impression about the army of God.. couldn't remember if there was anything else but it had something to do with the army of God... We're living in exciting times yeah.. somehow, God seems to be speaking a lot on resurrection power these days.. Eliakim, the almond rod, etc.. and i believe also that the place of favour i was shown in the dream speaks of such a stature and authority in Christ that would damage the kingdom of darkness and produce radical change upon the world.. it's a place of imtimacy.. it's a place where prayer, praise, worship, warfare and prophecy function.. it's a place where the key of David is activated and changes start to happen..

During Gatekeepers, there were words also being released about God's army, victory, etc.. i dun have them here.. but i sensed that God was calling us to a greater level of militancy.. he was also calling us to drink from His river (we can have warriors dying of thirst rite).. There's a co-relation between drinking from His presence and being a warrior.. Psalm 110 talks about it and so does Isa 55 which has been coming back to the youth ever so often.. and Isa 55 also talks about the key of David as well and the raising up of such a leadership over the ppl... no time to elaborate upon this here but it's something to chew on if you can piece the picture together.. During Gatekeepers, the words released further expounded on what God has been revealing about the key of david.. cos such a spiritual militancy in God's presence would cause us to possess the land, affect the land, possess nations... and that's what the key of David is about- affecting nations with prayer, praise, worship, word, warfare, prophecy, intercession... It's not just about revival.. it's about nations and true spiritual governmental authority.. When Sojourners enter into this, it's not just about revival.. it's not even just for Sojourners but also for the church.. and for nations.. Cos when Sojourners enter into our destiny and operate with the key of david, not only is it going to affect the church, or even just Singapore.. talk about authority that affects the nations for the Lord! I want that, do you? When Sojourners ministry and Salem Chapel enters into our destiny and God fully establishes us in the next season, nations are gonna come into their destiny! Is there anything too hard for the Lord? :)

On Saturday, during youth service, there were some words that were released... Auntie Lee Noi felt that the Lord was standing outside waiting to come in.. that's sad, isn't it... and we're not to take these kind of admonitions casually.. As i was listening to the Lord, He showed me how ppl come weekend after weekend unchanged... He showed me how He would be the one waiting for us, expecting to meet us, being so eager and looking forward to the meeting and being there even before we come in but when we do, we totally miss Him.. we dun come with a sense of expectation.. we come with our own agenda.. with our own issue of what we want from God.. we've been a selfish lot.. we come to church because of duty or because of our frens just to play around.. we come expecting Him to minister to us or give us some spiritual booster for another week.. we treat Him like drugs.. we come with that selfish attitude of what we can receive instead of how we can bless Him.. and we miss Him completely! After i sat down, the Lord showed me that if we would see God move and do something different in our midst, we need to come with a sense of expectation... expecting to meet Him.. keeping our eyes focused on Him, not on our friends or on our duties.. but on Him.. He must be the reason why we come for service week after week...

I left saturday service with a burden.. i was asking the Holy Spirit what was it all about and while everyone was having dinner at Thomson plaza, i was communing with Him... He finally told me what it was- the leaders are not living rightly before God. Then the words "compromise" and "pride" came... If we're really gonna see changes in the ministry, then the changes have to start with us...

Impressions and Thanksgivings for CC Camp

Haven really been posting lately.. too lazy and got so many things to post about at the same time.. so i think i'll start from here..

It's been a week and i'm still reeling from the effects of CC camp... we had a review on Sunday and God was there too.. :)

Ok first of all, i wanna thank God for renewing my desire to serve in CC.. cos it was very weak before the camp.. like when you come sunday after sunday and you dun really see much happening.. But now at least i know better why God has placed me in CC.. Thank God for filling me with a renewed passion, drive and vision to serve Him in this area...

I also wanna thank God for teaching me a lesson on how big He is and what He can do.. really.. no eye has seen, no ear has heard.. i was one of those ppl who did carry unbelief too.. I wanna see God move, but i thought and expected God to move powerfully in the youth, not quite the children.. But God went beyond my expectations with what He did for the camp.. I felt that what He did was kind of a rebuke to me.. He was showing me how small i think, how much i limit Him and what He can do.. i was satisfied with just a little on the first night, and i was amazed at what happened during the last morning.. but it was all just a touch.. God is doing a new thing... and when He does a new thing, He does a new thing.. it blows ppl's minds... He does so much more than what we can ask or think! Hallelujah.. :)

I was also caught by the children's childlike faith.. that they absorb what you teach them and they dun question it... I was caught by their purity of heart.. when i go around praying for ppl, usually i dun cry or feel anything.. but when i went ard praying for some of the kids, it was like their purity was radiating from them and touching me too.. dunno how to describe it.. but God was definitely showing me something...

I wanna thank God for all the ppl who worked hard throughout the camp.. the group leaders who pastored the kids, my dynamic team of runners who knew how to take initiative and who worked reallly hard running one errand after another, the worship team who were mostly comprised of my runners and who were willing to play for many sessions despite having so much else to do, the huge team of helpers at the kitchen without whom the nice food would have been impossible, the other helpers who dropped by but din stay for the whole thing, the night watchmen, ppl who helped in logistics and transportation, ppl who sponsored us $, visitors bringing edible gifts from afar, and those whom i may have missed out above... The interesting thing about this is that youth, children and adults were all involved.. it's a unity amongst the generations- and that's what makes it so powerful... During a Wed Prayer Meeting once, the Lord impressed upon me that before He comes (and shows up in revival) the spirit of Elijah will come to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers... And that's what we witnessed- a gathering of the generations to do the Lord's work.. Lord, we need more of that...

Certain things the Lord showed me... During the second night when the Lord wanted to have a time of cleansing, the Lord impressed upon me James 4:7-8... God wanted us to submit to Him... i'm saying this in the context of division cos that's one thing the devil likes to attack in the ministry.. and one thing that the Lord was emphasising for the camp was unity.. and James was writing that passage in the context of division and strife.. And God wants us to submit to Him cos when the whole body is in full submission, we'll all have Him in mind.. we'll all be going in the same direction and there won't be any room for discord cos we're all following Him and His leading.

Another verse that was impressed upon me that evening was Psalm 20:7.. and i believe the Lord was speaking to us in the context of our preparation for lessons.. we trust in our own ability or in the syllabi or perhaps in what we've been taught before instead of hearing from Him and getting from the Holy Spirit the fresh bread- what he wants to speak to the ppl... that's one word that Auntie Yang Meng shared- we dun give them fresh bread... so we have to leard how to trust in Him and trust Him to give us the word in season cos He wants to give it to us more than we want it from Him.

On the third morning, the Lord was showing me while praying for the children that they are living stones being built into a spiritual temple.. and i believe this is very important..cos take the church (Salem) in context to be God's house, the house won't enter into full glory and the fullness of what God has in store until it is totally built.. so they need to recognise the children- that the children have a part to play in the building of this spiritual house.. that we're not just babysitting... but we're doing something for the Kingdom.. the church needs to recognise that unless the children enter into their destiny, then the whole church will never experience the fullness of what the Lord has intended for it.

On the third evening, felt that there was an open heaven over the place.. :) Another phrase i heard from the Lord on the third evening of the camp was the phrase "for such a time as this" and i believe that it talks about the army amongst the children that God is raising up in this day and age... cos the Lord was impressing upon me on the first evening regarding the verses about the armor of God.. that we should put it on so we can stand in the evil day.. and we are sorta seeing the evil day at hand.. when there is much lawlessness.. of course this is going to increase and we haven't begun to experience the fullness of the evil just like how we haven even begun to experience the fullness of the glory (though of course, the glory is far greater..) But anyway, God is raising up an army for such a time as this, for such a time as the evil day... and i believe that's why the Lord wanted me to tell the kids on the 2nd evening of how He's gonna come back and we will have to give Him an account of what we have done in our lives... get ready church... God is raising up an army!

On the last day, i felt the Holy Spirit arrive at around 10:10am and it reminded me again of John 10:10 as if God was saying that we're not to let the enemy steal away our joy and fun and experience in His presence... then He came and moved so powerfully in our midst! It was as if He was saying that whatever happened was their portion.. that it rightfully belongs to us... And during that time, while i was praying, the Holy Spirit just told me to let them have fun.. so we all had fun in His presence.. and it was all so precious! :)

On a more personal note, the camp also ministered to me.. one thing that the devil tries to do to stop me in my tracks is to bombard me with guilt attacks.. and i'm thankful for the armour sessions that addressed that issue as well as Auntie Ivy's personal testimony of what she has gone through before.. really blessed.. and God gave me a verse also to combat such attacks and to declare over myself every morning- 2 Tim1:7... i declare the KJV one.. it's what i learned b4 and it's prolly more accurate! ;)

Looking forward to how God is gonna move in CC next... :)

Weekend and CC Camp 2007

Had a very interesting past few days and got so many things to thank God for really...

Saturday 9 June
Finished up some stuff for CC Camp preparations... shared for Youth Service.. when i was there, i just felt that somehow, there was a hindrance in the atmosphere that we need to break through... really dunno what it is lah but sharing was kinda difficult... Slept late cos of some last-minute admin preparations for CC Camp and cos i was ironing and packing stuff...

Sunday 10 June (Camp Day 1)
Woke up early to eat macs b4 heading down for New team... it was kinda rush cos CC also had to use the premises.. took the keys ppl and the backups for a bit of theory and shaun lin joined us for a while before we went for service... went up for CC upstairs and ran a few minor errands here and there.. Den went down and dot called me and we prayed for David and talked to him and his frens for a while.. Den had briefing for camp and we set off for Home Team NS...

The first day, everyone went for Armor competition and in the evening, i took the session.. it was cool cos the kids were absorbing the message and the Holy Spirit was just guiding me along on what to share with them... i was thinking about whether or not to share the 6th point (Jesus heals) with them cos i wasn't sure whether the Holy Spirit would move... but i just went by faith on the little impression He gave me a few days back to get the kids to pray for the sick ppl and we saw how the Holy Spirit moved through the kids and ppl got instantly healed! The Holy Spirit totally goes beyond my expectations... :D

Monday 11 June (Camp Day 2)
Took worship session in the morning and i'm glad to see the children responding to the Lord during worship... and they would sing and do action songs also... and during all the worship sessions they would be more active than what they had been at normal CC sunday sessions.. so i praise God for that..

While the Home Team NS ppl took them in the afternoon for some activities, the runners and i were busy filling trophies. We'd underestimated the amount of sweets we would need so i went out of camp with Uncle Patrick to buy more glasses from Ikea as well as more sweets from Cold Storage. Was back in time for BBQ but i had to go for worship prac. While Amanda was leading worship, the Holy Spirit's presence was there! And i sensed that He wanted to do a work of cleansing.. the other words spoken by other ppl also pointed us towards that direction... Aunty Ivy told me to take the ministry session but at that time i din know how.. din know what to do.. but anyway, after the end of the sharing, i just went with some little impressions the Lord gave me like telling them to clear the chairs and challenging them to kneel down if they needed to repent before God.. and the Holy Spirit moved so powerfully in our midst! Many were crying and the teachers went around praying, ministering and prophesying over ppl... it was just awesome cos their hearts were open to the Holy Spirit.. it was definitely beyond my expectations. Felt that i had to challenge the teachers to repent of our unbelief cos it was what was preventing the ministry from moving forward... When i was about to close the meeting, i din want to disturb the Holy Spirit's work and presence among the kids.. so i got Sam to ferry the kids back.. those who wanted to go back.. while those who wanted to linger in God's presence could stay... nobody went back! So we lingered until we had to go off already.. when i prayed the closing prayer, the Lord impressed upon my heart to pray that the kids would experience dreams from God as well... den we all went back...

Tuesday 12 June (Camp Day 3)
I was impressed to ask the kids whether they received any dreams or whether God spoke to them in the night.. i din expect anyone to raise up their hands (sorry God for my unbelief) but Daniel did.. and so i got him to share what God told him... later on during the morning session i asked them if God spoke to them or if they saw a vision during worship and Christy and Emma shared... den i asked Daniel to share again what God spoke to him... i was happy cos God was revealing Himself to the kids.. and i had nothing to do with it. God was showing Himself to be so real to them.. Felt that i should share with them a dream that i had in August 2005 and they were really listening to what i was haring... and it was building their faith to expect and desire these things from God! :)

They all went to cook their own lunch as part of the cooking competition and they went for amazing race in the afternoon. While everyone was cooking, i took some of the runners with me to fill the trophies and this time, we managed to fill every glass. :) I took the evening worship session which went alright. I was expecting God to move that night but it wasn't His timing.... was a bit disapponted lah but not much.. and who am i to question His timing anyway.. it's His children, His camp, His will to be done... no point forcing my own expectations upon Him and upon the kids... But anyway, that evening i got the kids to share visions and words they received from the Lord that evening and more of them came forward that in the morning! :)

Wednesday 13 June (Camp Day 4)
Went for morning session and as i was praying during the teaching, i felt the Holy Spirit come.. so i welcomed Him.. den i thought that i should look at what time He came in and i saw that He came in at 10:10 and it reminded me of John 10:10, the scripture that kept coming back to me throughout the year.. I think God wanted to remind me that the Kingdom is the children's portion and that it should not be kept from them. Then ministry time came.. as usual, i din know how to conduct it so i had to rely on the Holy Spirit and trust those little impressions that He gives me... the Holy Spirit came very fast... we didn't have to "pull Him down" (if there's even such a thing) cos He had already come down... and he began to minister to youth, children and the adults... The kids were crying, they were kneeling and bowing down, they were (literally) shaking under the power of God. Some of the teachers were drunk in the Spirit and some were laughing... Kids were seeing visions, some o them went around praying for each other. The girls (who didn't seem very united during the camp) displayed such a sense of unity under the Spirit as they were praying for one another. The youth were crying as they were heavily touched by God and they were passionately praying for others. One of the girls who was usually very shy and hardly talks went around boldly prophesying over ppl (including teachers). She carried such an authority in her voice that would offend those who don't acknowledge that God was really using her! She would be the last person i would expect to go around doing that but it was all God! The Holy Spirit just exploded all over the place and it was really great and awesome! And i really thank God for that cos He really did more than i could ask or imagine... but there's more to come...

So anyway, after spending so much time in the presence of God and in that atmosphere, we had to take our lunch at the clubhouse and it was quite delicious.. :) It was followed by dessert and an intensive discussion of what is a sea coconut... one thought it grew under the sea while one confused it with a sea cucumber and thought it to be a fish.. *ahems* :P after cheking wikipedia, i'm left with no comprehensive conclusion but i'm certain that those two explanations don't hold at all...

After lunch, we gave out some prizes but had to continue it in church cos of time constraints... while in church, we got those ppl whom God spoke to and who saw visions during the service to share their experiences and what God is saying... quite a good number of them came forward with a word from the Lord... :) also challenged them to reach out to their friends and bring them to church also... God is moving yeah! :)

Overall, i find myself very blessed from the camp.. and my passion to serve in CC was renewed.. i really thank God for carying me through each day cos i din get much sleep and it was quite tiring.. but thank God for His grace, power, anointing and a revelation of Jesus during the camp! :)

More posts to come! :D

Governmental Authority

This is what God wants to do in the church- He wants to release governmental authority to us so that what we do, what we pray and what we decree in Salem will affect this country and the earth. This is part of the Kingdom transition that he is bringing about. After my time of prayer today, i finally know what the Lord wants to say concerning Isa 22:22 and the key of David... throughout those times this year that i've been looking at my handphone clock at exactly 22:22, i know the Lord wanted to say something impt abt it.. and now, by His grace i know what it is... it's not just for my life, it's not just for Sojourners ministry.. it's for the church... The Lord is bringing us to kingdom alignment so we can function in governmental authority... And i belive that this is gonna function in the area of praise, worship and intercession... that what we pray and decree will affect Singapore and probably even beyond... So the Lord is bringing about a shift in what the worship ministry is gonna look like in church.. and we've been tasting some of that in the youth i believe.. and this is what the painted house is about.. this is where the painted house is geared to- praise worship and intercession.. and the kind that will be so powerful that it will shake this earth and shake the country that we live in! It's gonna be a place of "as it is in heaven!"... Get ready!

I was praying Isa 35 and Isa 61 over Sojourners and Salem today and i'm believing that God is gonna do something big this next season... Also meditate on Isa 9 and Isa 22. Isa 9 talks about the gentiles coming into light.. and how does that happen.. it's through the government of God released through Jesus Christ! The government is upon His shoulders... The key of David in Isa 22 is placed on Eliakim's shoulders. And Eliakim is a foreshadowing of the role of the Messiah. Eliakim means "God is my resurrection" and "God who establishes"... and Isa 22 talks about the valley of vision.. and what God wants to do is to take all that vision out of the valley and remove all the dust from it and resurrect it.. even more- establish it. Perhaps in the church there have been such visions, goals and dreams that have died and been forgotten through time or have been burried with past leaderships that have come and gone... but God wants to resurrect them and establish them.. He's looking for Eliakims to give His authority to.. And Eliakim was a father to Jerusalem and the house of Judah.. similarly, He's looking for true apostleship marked by such fatherhood... He's looking for Eliakim-type leaders whom He will use to resurrect and establish His visions, dreams and purposes upon individuals, ministries and nations. These are the people truly anointed with governmental authority; these godly leaders who will father and raise people, ministries and nations and help their vision come into fulfillment. And that's what the shift in the face in the government of God in Salem Chapel is gonna be (see post on the Kingdom Shift)... Ppl have spoken over Salem that it's like the church in Philadelphia in the book of revelations.. and the Lord revealed Himself to them as the One who holds the key of David. He's doing something.. He's bringing us to a place of Higher authority in Him... So let's all yield to His will and submit to His purposes and be faithful in what we are already doing now for at His time, He will bring us there.. and that time is soon!

Today had worship prac with the team for WMD Camp and the presence of the Holy Spirit was very stong in our midst and i feel that we touched something in the spirit realm. The Holy Spirit showed me at the beginning of the session that we were like the wilderness... so we prayed for a move of the Spirit and later during worship, i saw that it was raining... So Lord, we ask for more! The Lord is gonna make rivers flow in the desert... During worship, when Jerry was playing the drums, i saw a sword go upwards and i believe that as we worshipped we were releasing a sound of warfare that was breaking through into the heavenlies... The Lord also showed me a BIG tornado and i was standing in the middle of it... and as i type this now, it seems as if the Lord is saying that as the eye of the storm is peaceful, sometimes i say to myself why don't i feel or see anything happening... especially during this time of intensely seeking Him... but the Lord is assuring me that our prayer and fasting is changing something in the spiritual atmosphere... not just in Sojourners but in the church! Something is breaking open in the heavenlies! Let's press in... The Lord also reminded me how tornadoes are formed... it's when the hot air rises from below and meets the hot air above creating a channel... and this channel is gonna be "as it is in heaven!".. as our praises become hot and passionate, they rise up into the sky and change the atmosphere.. and soon, we find that everything around us is never the same again... it is possible, even after one worship session! When we close our eyes to behold Him and then the next moment we open them, everything has changed! God is stirring something in the atmosphere... and it ain't gonna be pretty.. it may be offensive to some.. but it's entirely God. God comes when He wants to in the manner he wants to... so what if it disturbs the traditions of men and the traditionalist order that people have held onto?? It's God and He's gonna do what He feels like he wants to do... He's gonna disturb the status quo but it's Him alright! Take it away, Holy Spirit! :) Get ready! ;)

Random Nuggets

I'm a history student so i really like to take down a chronological account of my life... that's something i didn't quite do last week and early this week cos have been doing stuff... that's why all my blog entries of what the Lord has been speaking is more theme-based rather than chronology based... so i just wanna write down some of the stuff that has been happening and what God has been impressing upon me in a more chronological order...

Sunday 27 May
At the Global Day of Prayer... The Lord was showing me another strategy to deal with guilt... Instead of surrendering something to Him, we should surrender to Him.. to the Holy Spirit... cos many times, we become judgmental on ourselves and the guilt remains even after we surrendered an issue to Him... but surrendering to Him means taking up His mindset, the way He sees things, the way He looks at us and the way He processes them... And when we have His perspective and when He takes over, we won't judge and condemn ourselves anymore... cos the purging work is entirely His... and we're left with and understanding of His grace and His desire to refine us and make us more like Jesus...

Mon to Fri, 28 May to 1 June
Glory Encounter. The Lord also highlighted to me more ways to deal with guilt... from turning to Luke 15 and the parable of the prodigal son... too much to blog about lah... but it's deposited in my spirit.. and on that Tuesday, the Lord gave me a verse to deal with guilty thoughts... Psalm 3:3 "But you are a shield around me, O LORD; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head." One of the hallmarks of a person suffering from guilt attacks is a lowered head, a head lowered in shame and condemnation... but God is the lifter of our heads and He is a shield around us to block off guilt atacks coming from the evil one, the accuser of the brethren... Ok... things that caught my attention was that sign outside of the paces in Bugis saying "You can fly".. and the other thing was when i saw a taxi and the sign said "change" and "shift".. and i knew that God was using these small things to comfirm what He wants to do... :D

Thursday 31 May
Teachers Retreat. Pastor Au's wife, Aunt May was our guest speaker... and she was really nice.. the message that she shared was really accurate for the kairos season and it's something that tallies with what the Lord has already been spaying throughout the year... She also prayed for me and the personal message she delivered was really accurate.. and i really thank God for it.. and i'm really excited.. cos one of the things that she said was that my time has not yet come... and the reason i'm so excited about that is that cos if my time has not yet come and i'm already walking in so much of a revelation of who God is, then what more when my time does come! That really blows my mind! Anyway, the Lord gave me two things to share with the teachers... the first was a word concerning submission.. sbmission to Auntie Ivy, the head of the ministry... The second thing that the Lord impressed upon me was the phrase "Let God arise" and i knew it was for those who feel inadequate about serving in ministry... cos the Lord has been calling us to arise again and again... but all we have to do is let God arise in us.. we dun have to worry cos He'll be the One that's gonna be doing the arising within us... all we have to do is to yield and surrender to Him... :)

Saturday 2 June
Spent time resting in God in the morning... went for worship prac and youth service in the afternoon. Uncle Paul finished his sharing by saying that some of has have got our priorities wrong and that we have to come back to God... and that totally falls in line with the Kingdom Shift that God is bringing about... had briefing with the games ppl quickly after service and i'm kinda impressed by their initiative in doing games stuff... QQ came for service and we all had dinner...

Sunday 3 June
Got to spend a considerable time sleeping cos of combined service and cos no new team.. i kinda dreamt that there was some portal in a dark sky and from that portal was coming forth golden light.. and there was also a golden cross, bearing the same golden light, that appeared up there, coming from that portal... dunno what that's all about... woke up and went for service... went upstairs to sit in CC and den went for 2nd liners cell where Noel was talking about what prevents us from sharing Christ with others... for me it was the fear of man.. fear of rejection.. cos i'm naturally shy by nature.. i figured that i'm really an introvert... and the fact that i can stand b4 ppl and talk about the Word of God is really God's grace in itself... den after cell, went for lunch..and found out that Uncle Tan is from SA! And he was telling me that last time sa junior school was next to the museum.. so that explains the story about David Marshall's migration... it all makes sense now! ok anyway, went for choir... by the Lord's grace, managed to learn a few more parts... den went to watch Pirates 3 at Plaza Sing...

Monday 4 June
Did some work in church in the evening preparing for CC Camp... And the Lord helped me to prepare the gospel message.. and while doing so, my heart was already burning to deliver it to the children during the camp... :D

Tuesday 5 June
Finally got all the chords sent out.. and when i was preparing them, likewise i felt something inside of me.. like a sense of expectation brewing for what God's gonna do during the camp! When i was at AMK Hub waiting for a bus, i turned to see a sign on a bus as if it was one of those divinely-inspired moments and i saw the word "breakthrough" on that bus... it was another confirmation of what the Lord is doing! :D Hallelujah! Praise the Lord... :D

Wednesday 6 June
Decided to rest today... last night, my spirit was kinda praying and expecting God for a visitation... And He knows how much i want it... :)

God bless! :)

Beyond Blessedness

Ok... This is way overdue but i wanna use this space to thank God for my results for Semester 2...

SSA1202 Southeast Asia: A Changing Region: A+
HY2247 Sport and History: A
EN2113 Reading Film and Cultural Text: A-
TS1101E Introduction to Theatre and Drama: A-
SC1101E Making Sense of Society: B-
CAP: 4.4

Guess wad... they were basically the same set of results i got last Sem... and i praise and thank God for them cos it was really by His grace that i got these results... for one, i hardly touched some of my textbooks.. i dunno why i even bought them cos they were just gathering dust... really... For Southeast Asia, I thought that we'd lose marks for our rice project cos i felt that it was kinda hastily done and like so many ppl are doing on rice... but we got an A and it pulled us up.. i expected to do worse for my Theatre Studies cos we got a lot of negative coments from the judges regarding our performance.. i also failed the class test (which fell on a really busy week going for Ignite Conference and all that)... Many times i was also really late for lecture cos it was the first lecture of the day and i didn't wake up earlier... and on some occasions i missed the lecture altogether cos i was late... for those of you reading this, you know better than to follow all my negative examples... For the final paper, didn't really get to study much and i thought that i should have seriously attempted a different essay question... BUT God is on my side.. and by His grace, an A- is really great... I seriously hoped to do better with my SC1101E though... but nvm... if it's something that God has ordained then let it be... lest i grow cocky and take His grace for granted... But He's really a God who supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory... and despite all the committments i have and how much time i spend in ministry, He never fails to show Himself faithful.. All my grades are in His hands... i can study much and i can work hard (really, not that i did...) but ultimately, He's still the One who gives the reward! :D

I thank God for this year, for His abundant blessing and favour upon my life... and i wish that all around me may enter into such a blessedness... I told Auntie Lee Noi last week "Blessed is an understatement"... you see the abundant life is the normal life.. cos that's what Christ has provided for us.. But being blessed is beyond normal... blessedness is beyond abundance! But the Bible says in Eph 3 "now unto him who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly beyond all you can ask or imagine"... It means there's a place in God and a place in knowing God where we can know this Scripture to be reality... and that is beyond blessedness! Cos blessedness is measured by human standards but a place of beyond blessedness is measured by God's standards- beyond what we can ask or think.. a place where no eye has seen or ear has heard or mind has conceived... It's a place of God-sized proportions! The thing is, many times, we are all contented to live below abundance... but there's so much more of God to know and to experience...

I will boast in the Lord my God
I will boast in the One who's worthy...

I'm not content... are you? ;)

God Thoughts

Many times, when God speaks, He doesn't speak in a loud audible voice.. not even a gentle whisper... but one of the ways i know He's speaking is by planting little "God-thoughts" inside of me... thoughts that run through my mind to deliver a truth that the Lord wants to convey... and many times, when He delivers some of these truths, they challenge the way i think in the natural.. they challenge the way i see things... they mess me up... cos the Lord wants to change mindsets and remove things that prevent us from experiencing Him to a greater measure.. all those years of deception, even subtle ones.. and tradition and religious thinking... yeah.. it's quite cool when He challenges these things and our hearts and lives begin to bear witness to His truths and we become changed by them... so i just wanna take some time to share some "God-thoughts" that He's given me lately...

This morning when i woke up, the phrase "Different ways, different lives" came into my mind... and God was trying to tell me something... How many times have we sought the Lord and prayed for Him to change us?? I believe for certain that many of us want our lives changed.. .and here's the key.. in order for us to have a different life, we've gotta change our ways... and it's easy to pray for God to change us but it may not be easy to let go of our old ways... but it's only in letting go of these things that we truly begin to live life differently...

Yesterday, i was on my way to the bus stop cos i wanted to do a few things at AMK Hub... and i was just meditating on some testimonies that i've heard recently about people walking on water.. as in modern-day ppl... and the Holy Spirit came and gave me one of those God-thoughts: "What would you do if you really believe you could walk on water?" And it was a revelation for me cos it stopped me in my tracks... cos i know what i'd do if i really believed i could walk on water- i'd try it. The thing about church is nowadays is that we believe God can do these things and perhaps we can even believe that God can do these things through us... but how many of us are willing to step out and actually try them?? If we really believe, we would do so... cos faith without works is dead...

While at AMK Hub yesterday, i decided to get a haircut... yeah... not that i have much hair to be cut in the first place cos my hair is quite thin... and as i was sitting there in front of the mirror looking rather glum, the Holy Spirit was speaking to me again: "It's your joy that's gonna attract people to you, not your looks" ouch. but after hearing that, my face lit up... cos what the Lord said is so true... :)

Ok... more "God-thoughts" from the past week... I was at Glory Encounter and just heard Jill Austin say something about radical fire.. and so i was thinking about the radical fire of God's love.. and i felt that the Holy Spirit was speaking to me "You gotta love yourself first" and what He meant by that is that i got to love myself first before loving others.. and that kinda messed with me and my theology... cos in my upbringing, everyone talks about putting others before u... as far as what i knew, JOY is Jesus, Others, Yourself.. in that order... but the Lord come to do some holy messing up... saying that i gotta love myself first before others... (of course love for God still takes priority) now what does the Bible say?? "Love your neighbour as yourself" but many of us have condensed that to just "Love your neighbour"... we forgot the "as yourself" part which is very important.. cos lemme put it this way... if we can't even love ourselves, how can we love our neighbour?? First of all, if we're so stingy with our $ and we dun even spend a good amount on ourselves, how can we bless others materially with that same capacity? We dun have to be extravagant or decadent with our living but we gotta learn how to set a certain standard... The manner in which we love ourselves reflects the manner in which we will love our neighbour.. another example- i know a dear sister whose parent expects certain standards of her and it affects her in the way she lives cos she feels bad when she doesn't meet certain standards... and likewise, she has certain expectations of others and gets affected when they're not fulfilled... She needs a revelation of God's unfailing and unconditional love... Loving yourself and others is all about seeing through God's eyes and doing to yourself and others what God would do... And in order to appreciate and enjoy other people, one must learn how to appreciate and enjoy himself/herself... I blogged recently about a personal score i have to settle with guilt.. and i learned that cos of the expectations i set on myself, i feel guilty when they're not met and i set these kinds of expectations on others and becoming condemning if they're not met... so for me not to be condemning, i have to see myself through God's eyes, know i'm loved and accepted in Him and apply the same understanding to others... so first i have to love myself before i can love others.. before i can love others radically, i must first know God's radical love for me and love myself radically... both the good and the bad... not that i approve of the bad, but i'm talking about loving the totality of who you are and of other people... And that's the basic foundational way God sees us and relates to us... Much to meditate upon here...

The wisdom of God may seem foolish to some, especially to those who hang on to foolish traditions made by men... but God is out there.. and He's out there to mess up anyone and everyone who's truly seeking the truth... cos He loves us... :)

God bless! ;)

The Kingdom Shift

God is really doing a lot these days... so here are a few things that He's been impressing upon me, especially for the last week...

During Wednesday prayer meeting last week, as i was asking the Lord what He wanted to say, i saw almond blossoms blooming... and almond in hebrew is shaqad or smth which means hasten... The Lord is hastening His plans and purposes in the church... The other thing that i believe the Lord is doing is that the face of the government of God is changing in Salem Chapel... Cos almonds speaks of spiritual authority as with Aaron's rod that budded and produced almonds... and i believe that there is a coming shift concerning the spiritual authority in the church...and i believe it's gonna be an alignment that God is bringing about to better facilitate and carry out His purposes...

Then on Friday we had Gatekeepers and what i sensed the Lord was saying was revival will come when the fear of the Lord hits the leaders... So if we want to hasten the coming of revival in Salem and Sojourners, we should pray for the Lord to release the fear of the Lord upon the leadership... Another thing that i sensed during the time of worship is that the Lord is calling us to a place of dying in order to get to a place of fruitfulness... Cos we see in the natural that a flower has to die in order for the fruit to come out.. and what does the flower represents? it represents niceness.. it represents something that looks nice... something that looks good.. it represents the status quo where everything seems nice and pretty... but God wants to change that...cos He's looking for fruit.. and in order for us to get to that place of fruifulness, that niceness has to die... how many of us are willing to pay the price for true lasting revival??

During gatekeepers, the Lord also showed me a place with many beds... and i sense that those beds are for the Sojourner leaders... cos He's calling us back into the secret place of intimacy.. that's what the beds stand for.. and the place of intimacy is also the place of rest... and that's what we've lost.. How many of us are so bogged down and weighed down by our duties that we've neglected the very basics of resting in God?? Rest and intimacy go together...

When praying for WMD Camp on Friday, the Lord impressed upon me Matthew 6:33 as the key verse for the camp. And i was puzzled why cos i was asking the Lord what that verse had to do with worship.. so when i looked up the context in the Bible, the Lord showed me that the passage preceding that talked about someone serving two masters.. we cannot serve God and Mammon... and the preceding verses talk about pagans running after all these things... That's what it has to do with worship.. many times, our studies, career or even plain old materialism have become the objects of our pursuit, the objects of our affection.. and the Bible is very clear on who these kind of people are- pagans... so i'm expecting the Lord to deal with some of these serious heart issues during the camp...

And then on Sunday evening as i was praying regarding the WMD Camp, the Lord was unfolding this revelation to me even further.. it's not just a matter of forsaking our idols... it's not even a matter of getting our priorities right... it's a matter of bacoming Kingdom-minded.. it's a matter of seeking the Kingdom of God first above all.. This requires a change in paradigm.. this requires a change in mindset.. it's not merely a change in actions but a change in perspective... And that's what the Lord has been speaking since the very beginning of the year! And that's the place from where true worship flows... I've spoken to everyone that the Lord is gonna use WMD Camp to bring us to the next level... so what's the next level? Kingdom-mindedness is the next level! You have to receive this revelation! The next level is not some outward physical manifestation of God' power, although it usually does lead to that.. but no.. the next level is a mindset.. it's a way of thinking and living.. it's a dying and shedding of our own ways, our own plans and agenda and walking in God's way of doing things! That's what the kingdom lifestyle is all about! I'm talking about spiritual revolution!

You have to pray with me... and dun you dare miss WMD Camp... I'm believing God to do some mighty powerful work in our midst... Yesterday, i was sitting alone in the Youth office listening to "Revival" from the Ignite CD.. i was thinking about the camp and imagining all the youth being so vibrant in their praise and worship toward God...and then suddenly, the power of God hit me... it was totally unexpected... a series of LOUD, violent groans and cries came from within my spirit.. i knew that i was interceding by the Spirit of God for revival... it din last very long but it did leave me with a spiritual deposit and a deep sense of expectation of what God's gonna do for the camp... Good thing i was alone in the office and the cleaning auntie had just left moments b4 or ppl would have thought that i was mad or worse- possessed.. well i kinda was.. by the Holy Spirit... ;)

You need to absorb all this.. pray and rise up with me ya? ;)

God bless! :D

Glory Encounter 2007

Hi everyone.... i've been "absent" for more than a week now cos i've been involved in glory encounter conference.. and it was really great... it was such a blessing being there and soaking in the presence of God and hearing His Word and being challenged to seek the deeper things of God... really loved it...

Ok.. i just wanna boast about how my God has blessed me... first of all, conference fees were $100 but i got to go for free... why? cos auntie joanna approached me and asked me to help out.. and it was such a blessing to help out.. it seems that i was even more blessed helping out than otherwise.. cos they catered lunch for the helpers while the other conference participants got lunch on their own... then also auntie joanna gave us all an edition of pastor jedidiah's latest book... and it's not as if we did a LOT of work really... so blessed..

During the conference, got to sit under the anointing and the preaching of the Word of God and was even more challenged to seek God even further... some of the sermons really ministered to my spirit.. and there's the time of impartation too... i've realised that it's already been 3 glory encounters that i've been receiving from the Lord.. (4 including the one in Jakarta...) each time, there's a challenge of course.. i've been receiving impartation after impartation, etc.. but i wanna enter into activation already.. i wanna move and operate practically in what was already imparted to me.. Lord, please train me...

Wednesday was a particularly interesting day.. In the morning, as i was helping Sandra during the worship, my spirit-man was awake and i was able to reach notes that i wasn't normally able to.. as in those really high ones.. and i dunno how but i think the anointing did something to my voice that it kinda changed.. like it became louder and the quality improved.. and it remained with me even after that particular worship session...

den in the afternoon, i had to leave to go for prayer meeting in the evening.. so i had my lunch at BK at concourse.. and there were only 4 people eating inside when i entered.. then i remembered what the speaker shared during last sat's revival meeting abt God blessing the place where you're at... so i sat there and started releasing the glory and blessed that place... by the time i left, there were like 21 ppl who went there to eat... haha.. it's really true! cos God is so real! :D

More updates to come... stay tuned.. :)
