Weekends

Ok... so here's what's been happening...

On Saturday, was supposed to join the ppl at Kebun Baru CC near my house to play basketball lah (yeah i know.. it's not really my cuppa tea).. but found it hard to get out of bed so ended up joining them at around 945 instead of 830... haha... but i din stay long cos i was meeting joel and dee for lunch...

So i went to the bus stop and waited for my bus.. and i had an interesting observation while at the bus stop. I was sitting down and there was an auntie sitting next to me. Apparently, from where she was sitting, she was able to see the oncoming bus. My view, however, was obstructed so i wasn't able to see the oncoming bus. Then, i saw her stand up suddenly and i knew that the bus was coming though i wasn't able to see the bus myself. I found that this is true in the spiritual sense as well when we talk about vision. We need eyes that see and ears that hear to know the plans, purposes and direction that God has for us, both individually as well as corporately, so we know where God is moving and we can take steps to follow Him. So some people have a greater line of vision than others and they are able to see what's ahead and, like the lady next to me, they are able to stand up and make a move and prepare for what God has in store. This has implications with leadership as well. Cos leaders have to be able to see far and have a greater line of vision so they can lead their flock to where God is moving. Though I was not able to see the oncoming bus directly, i still knew that the bus was coming cos the lady saw it and she stood up and moved. Similarly, when the leaders see something and move, the people follow. Though the people may not be able to see what God has in store directly, they will still prepare for it cos they see the leaders moving.

When the leaders lead, the people follow. -somewhere in the book of Judges

Ok so anyway, had lunch with joel and dee and then went to kill time by walking around with them.. played Daytona with them and walked around in marina Square. Den dee went with amanda and joel went home so i decided to kill some more time at the Esplanade but i made a detour and ended up eating FRIED MARS BARS from Raffles City!!! muahahahahaha...

Met Rayson for dinner and den went for the Special Service in church. Thank God for His presence, especially during the worship... cos i was feeling kinda far from Him but then i sensed that He wanted me to worship Him so He clothed me with new garments and replaced my old ones, right at the start of the worship! :) Den during worship, i felt Him telling me "I am with you"...He really is a great God! :)

Then Sunday i was late for New Team :( ... den went to discuss 2nd liners cell with Uncle Jem and Noel.. den went for Servers Cell... den had lunch and practiced some dance while the Connection 33:3 team practiced for worship.. while taking a break from dancing, it was the first time i really paid attention to Jonathan playing the drums and he's really a very talented and anointed drummer!! :) and guess wad.. it was also the first time i heard the youth playing "Shout of the King" properly cos everytime the transition goes funny when going from the chorus to the bridge...haha... but I'm glad that ppl like Jaron and Gid are playing and that they're finally rising up and gaining confidence with their instruments!

After that, when returning the flags back to the cupboard, guess wad happened... the metal thing that you slot the key into came out lah... it was so funnie!!.. and it had to happen when I was the one using the dance cupboard -_-"... den i realised that i actually used the worng key to open it!! :P

When everyone else went home, i went with alvin to serene's house.. he fixed her laptop while i did my homework (which is to watch TV!!! hahaha :P) den went home.. i slept rather early.

Was reading the Jesus Freak series earlier this morning when i came accross the story of a pastor being persecuted by extremists in Indonesia... when i was reading the story, the Holy Spirit was speaking to me that after reading it, either of 2 things can happen to me- that I hate them more or that I love them more...
