Little things count...
Woke up late today.. then went for CC Teacher's Meeting... then went for Youth Service... Alvin shared a good message on how to start the year right with God.. i hope that it spoke to many ppl's hearts and that God would help us to apply it in our lives! :) Was encouraged seeing Gideon and Lele taking notes during youth service lah.. it means that they were really paying attention! Praise God for that! So anyway, Al told me he asked Gid why he came today considering he may have had something else to go for and his reply was cos he wanted to honour God! I'm so encouraged by that! ;) Anyway Martin made a really special cake for the January babies and it tasted sooo good! :) Thank God for ppl like Him! :)
Today was one of those days where I was in one of those moods... you know... i found myself getting really impatient at ppl quite often today and i'm starting to notice how impatient i've become.. Like when i was in macs and the lady didn't really get my order correct.. and when i was at kfc in the evening and the food was rather long in coming... bad... Impatience is not a fruit of the Spirit...
Well perhaps one of the things that made me feel that way was cos of what I'm wearing.. seriously.. like when u wear a nice and rather ex shirt and it makes you feel rather special, rather confident and perhaps too sophisticated for ur own good... Then, that kind of atiitude rubs into the way you do things.. you begin to expect more from other ppl, especially if they're meant to serve you like those who work at the fast food joints... It starts from a feeling good, then it grows into an attitude, then it rubs off into your actions.. Putting on a shirt may then mean putting on the arrogance that comes with the association to it. Little things count and these kinds of things kinda eat into you and before you know it, what you do ends up being not pleasing to your Master. So Chris, keep the nice shirt but lose that attitude!!!
So after service, had dinner with everyone.. Alvin was kind enough to send us home. And... ;)
shhhh
