Springtime
Just before I went to Jakarta in November last year, the Lord spoke to me saying that it's time for Sojourners to know the times and seasons of God. I personally believe that in Sojourners, we are now in Springtime and what we do in springtime really matters cos it will determine what happens to us in the seasons ahead...
One of the things God impressed upon me when watching Narnia during the youth camp was the arrival of spring after winter. Springtime talks about the going away of winter, the period of coldness of heart is over cos God is now warming our hearts towards Him (and one-another), He's drawing us towards Him. Let all that ice melt away... let all the bitterness melt away... He's here to comfort us.
Springtime also talks about the budding and blossoming of flowers, especially those that blossom early. I explained that on my earlier post on the Almond blossoms. I believe that this is a year where leaders, especially 2nd liners, have to gain their ground in the Lord. We'll be seeing you all blossom, yeah! :) Time to rise up... :)
God tells us in Zechariah 10:1 to ask Him for rain in the time of the latter rain (which also happens to be springtime). That's why it's important for us to know the times and seasons of God so that when He's highlighting a particular thing He wants to do in the earth, we can ask Him for it, we can pray for it to happen. Now is the season for breakthrough in our own personal lives as well as corporately in the ministry! It's time to move! :) So let's all press in and ask Him for breakthough yeah! :)
The rain prepares us for the harvest. It's time to ask Him for rain this season, to rain upon our hearts that we may be soft and tender before the Lord. The rain also represents His anointing. The latter rain represents the great outpouring of His Spirit in these last days... Lord, rain down on us! :)
One very important thing that we have to understand about springtime is that it is the beginning of the new year for the holy Jewish calendar. In 2 Samuel 11, we find the story of how David, the man of God, the great king of Israel fell into adultery with Bathsheeba and murdered Uriah. Now why did this happen? 2 Sam 11:1 In the spring (when the previous year expired), at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king's men and the whole Israelite army... Cos David was at the wrong place at the wrong time! David should have been out with the men cos it was time to fight. He shouldn't have stayed in the palace. That's why He was tempted and fell into sin. So what do we make of this? This is the time to fight! This is the time for us, especially the leadership, to contend for our breakthrough, both personally and in the ministry. It's time for us to move forward and claim territory and not sit around occupying leadership positions but not serving our function. What we sow in this season will determine what we reap in the next. We have to stand up and fight and move and not let the enemy steal from us anymore but we should subdue the enemy and claim back the spoils, the plunder! If we don't move when it's time to move, if we're not wise to do the right things at the right time, there might be sad consequences. We're into a new season already! The past has expired! So let's be bold and continue to align ourselves to what God is doing in our midst.
God bless! =)
