Supernanny

Was watching reruns of "Supernanny" on arts central earlier this evening (technically yesterday) and was impressed with a few things from that episode i saw...

Wah goodness.. those kids are really... Anyway, the show featured how supernanny helped the mother of some really naughty kids... And it got me thinking how indeed the Bible is true when it says that no one is righteous, not even one... Cos we've all been born into this world sinful.. it's just there.. it's just in the inherent nature of man... we've inherited than nature from Adam ever since the fall and it's just there, so obvious... nobody has to teach a child how to be naughty cos ppl are already naughty when they're born and watching supernanny just shows the real extent of how bad some kids can get even at that age (mind you, they're only kids!)...

Well.. so anyway, one other thing that impressed me was that no matter how hard and naughty the kids were, they nonetheless responded to love when the mother started showing love to them. Cos that's one of the things that God built into us. Then when we truly receive a revelation of who He is, even through our parents, we respond to it! Of course, it is still a choice on our part but it's something that goes on deep down inside.. like that song deep calls to deep, deep answers deep, deep reaches out to deep, deep touches deep... love calls to love, love answers love, love reaches out to love, love touches love... So although our God is a just God, He's nonetheless a God who won't just sit on His high and lofty throne doing nothing about a world in chaos.. He sent His Son Jesus to come and, among other things, save us from ourselves knowing how bad we're gonna become.. He also gave us parents to demonstrate His love and who He is to us. He is a good God..-no.. He's a great God! :)
