Past Week

Haven't really been blogging about what's been happening lately so here's an update...

3 Jan Wednesday
Went to NAFA for recording with Dot, Al and Amanda. Then had meeting to discuss new team in the evening. Had Ben and Jerry's... yum yum... :9

5-6 Jan Friday-Saturday
Prayer retreat, youth service... i think i'll create a separate post for this...

7 Jan Sunday
Taught in Children's Church in the morning so didn't go for service. Which brings me to the question of why don't the kids seem to respond to God in worship.. I think many of us youth have a burden for the kids to grow in this area as well. Well for one, this is what i believe. The reason why the ground is dry is cos there hasn't been much rain... The reason why it's not been raining is cos ppl have not been praying for rain... We really need to uphold the children in prayer... I know I haven't been praying for them.. maybe it's time that i do so again...

After that went for servers meeting... Got a lot of stuff together.. I'm really excited for what God's gonna do this year! :) Sometimes, we spend hours on end planning lotsa stuff and working out structure in the ministry. Of course, this is the part where some ppl may find boring lah... But actually structure is important. Cos it prepares us for the move of the Holy Spirit. Like when Ezekiel was in the valley of the dry bones and all those bones were all over the place and were in a great heap of mess. He then prophesied to them so they all came together to form a great army. Then he prophesied to the breath to enter the army. So here we find that structure comes before the breath, structure comes before life entered the army. It's a move, a progression from chaos to structure, to life... On the other hand, it is also important to recognise that we can have structure but no life... so we need the Holy Spirit for that. But it's God's work to put it all in order. :) So maybe now, in Sojourners min, we're doing lotsa stuff and we're really working very hard and investing time, energy and prayers into the ministry but this is all to align ourselves and prepare the ministry for the coming move of God... so now is the season for preparation, now is the season when everything comes together... but we're all doing this for an end so don't get discouraged.. there's work in progress but we'll reap the fruits of our labour in time to come...

When the tent pegs are in place, then when the ppl enter the tent, the tent won't collapse...

8 Jan Monday
Met Benuel for lunch in the morning and heard more stuff about what ppl do in the army... :P went to PS after that... was exploring Carrefour to kill time.. Very therapeutic.. Ahhhh... That's what i used to do sometimes after stressful day- explore supermarkets... no kidding..

Went to NAFA after that with Jerry, Dot and Alvin.. Met Dot's frens Hui En and Nicholas for dinner... quite a fun bunch.. hahaha.. At NAFA, was recording some nonsense tracks for **a***.. it had something to do with a funny incident that happened during the weekend... ;)

9 Jan Tuesday
First day of school! Quite fun...

10 Jan Wednesday
Found out that timings for EN2113 and SE2211 clashed so i decided to drop SE2211 and bid for TS1101E instead... then found out that we had to sign up for practicals too.. so there goes my 3-day week... :/

Went for prayer meeting in the evening...
