Children's Church

The night before i had a dream about Brigette from Philippines (which is considerably surprising since i have not been thinking of anyone from there lately)... So anyway, God spoke in that dream and though i can't remember much of the details of it, it went something along the lines of Brigette being used by God in the coming revival. Then i saw a wave of water (not very big but significant enough) coming upon a boat and upsetting it. I believe that the boat represents the comforts of man, the agendas of man. When the wave of the Holy Spirit comes, it will go against the things that man has constructed to try to restrict/control the flow of the Spirit and bring us out of our comfort zone. The Holy Spirit will come and take over and nothing can stop Him- all other things have to submit! Hallelujah! :) It will just break out like that cos God is a Sovereign God...

So anyway, went to church yesterday... Went for New Team prac in the morning and then went up to Children's Church... The Holy Spirit was moving and there were a few words that were released during that time...

Auntie Lee Noi sensed that there was a change that is coming while Auntie Jasmine mentioned something about God giving us the strength...

When the word of the Lord came, actually i was kinda too shy to say something lah (and you go "Yeah rite.. since when was Chris ever liddat?").. I wonder if that was what some of the kids at Children's Church were feeling that inhibits them from being used by God too.. Anyway, so when the other teachers were sharing, i decided to open my mouth lah.. So God was saying that we should march on, march forward into the land.... And then i saw heavy rain coming down... i believe that the rain talks about the move of the Holy Spirit that will soften the hearts of the people...

Den Auntie Ee Moi gave a very prophetic teaching about the Israelites going into the promised land.. She talked about the giants and the Lord was speaking to my heart that we need to overcome the giants in our own lives that hinder us from walking in the fullness of what God has in store for us. We need to contend against them and not just adopt a passive attitude but we have to walk in faith and boldness! In order to overcome them, we need the strength of God (which was what the Lord apoke through Auntie Jasmine)...

Then before the session ended, Auntie Ivy released the word from revelations 3 that God doesnt want us to be lukewarm (Rev 3:15-16)... The warning ties in perfectly cos it's those who are not lukewarm/passive about God who actually take hold of the inheritance.. those who are neither hot nor cold are spit out of His mouth.. they don't enter into what He has in store for them..

I always believe that when the Lord gives a warning, it's very important that first and foremost, the leaders heed it. Cos the leaders are the ones setting the pace.. so let's not talk about the kids yet.. let's talk about the teachers... I think it's time to move forward... :)

Now on a separate note, Auntie Ivy gave a testimony of the time we brought her out for lunch and how much it meant to her. I think it meant much more to me than what she may think.. Cos when the Lord impressed upon it in my heart to rally the CC youth to bless Auntie Ivy, i was kinda reluctant.. If you're one of the CC youth you'd understand why cos the concept of what we did was so radical and like no one has like done it before in previous years... Then i was also unsure of how the CC youth would respond to that idea.. It even came to the point that i was even contemplating just dropping the idea in the first place. But on hindsight, that whole incident has put in me somewhat the fear of the Lord and how important it is for us to obey Him, even in the "small" things, especially in the "small" things.. Thank God everything turned out really well and thank God for showing me that a little step of obedience goes a long long way... :)

So yesterday after Children's Church, went for meeting and den went to practice flags with Val for the prayer convocation... learnt a few new moves.. There was this one move that looked really complicated but then somehow, i just managed to do it quickly. Really thank God for that cos i dunno how long i'd take otherwise to get that move right.. :P It was really by His grace! :)

Den after that, went to watch blood diamond with Val and Alvin... It was ok lah.. Didn't really find it particularly special..
