The Shaking

Ok... finally got a monitor so can use the com again... haha... so what's been happening??

Yesterday had TS1101E practicals and we were supposed to come up with moves in 8 counts then we took 13 sets from 13 different ppl and put them all together and we used it to dance to some music... quite fun lah.. and before the lesson began some ppl asked abt what happened to my tooth since i had broken it a week b4... haha..and as different ppl were coming in they were asking about the same thing la! ~ haha so anyway, thank God for nice caring classmates.

Den after that I went for crusade LM for the very first time lah... it was quite a good experience but i had a long way to travel back home so i reached home kinda late... so watched news 5 tonight on the bus on TV mobile and guess what- the very first news of the evening was on Crazy Horse shutting down!!! I mean like hooray! Hallelujah! Finally after only slightly over a year that pub with the live nude show is shutting down its operations in Singapore! Thank God for all those faithful people who have been praying for God to uphold the standard of righteousness in the nation! Thank God for the victory! Keep it up... two more victories to go.. those integrated resorts are not going up if the church does something...

So anyway, today went to school for lectures... then after that went to church.. had a short time to take a quick nap lah.. and den i was almost like dreaming and den in the dream i kinda heard Uncle Paul's voice saying something like "we must be prepared for exciting things ahead" Then the my handphone rang and my sleep session was cut short lah... and then after i was just gonna fall asleep again, the phone rang again cos Nana and Sheela were in church early and they were like trying to sing "You are my Sunshine" using the tune from "You are my Fortress" lah!!! so never got to sleep after that -_-"

Ok so anyway, God has been speaking on the importance of us to prepare ourselves for the mighty work that He's gonna do in our midst.. i pray that we dun stop along the way but keep moving lah.. there's lots more to go but we'll get there by God's grace! :)

Had mentoring session with Uncle Jem.. then went for Gatekeepers lah... so some of the things that the Lord has been impressing upon me:

During the worship, i saw water coming out of the rock (just as what happened with Moses and the Israelites in the wilderness) so i believe that God wants to refresh ppl and give water to the thirsty.

I also believe that the Lord is also calling us to march on, march on and take the promised land... One of the other things that I saw was a flaming sword held by two hands and the flaming sword represents the Word of God. We have to learn how to walk in the power and authority of the Word in our lives... that's the key to taking the promised land!

Then before we closed, the Lord has shown me an ear and the ear represents our need to listen to Him and in the Bible, listening means obeying lah... So we really need to listen to Him calling us and to really move and take practical steps towards those things that He has called us to build! Amen!

There were other thoughts that came tonight.. one was that i sense that the Lord is going to bring a shaking to our lives, a sifting when the winds of change are blowing... that those things in our lives that are not aligned with Him have to be forsaken.. we have to lay aside every idol in our lives to prepare ourselves for the coming move of God...

Then another thing that i sensed was that many of us have been trying to build our own "babel", our own kingdoms... like our own acchievements and those things that supposedly give us a sense of accomplishment.. common examples include studies, cca and perhaps the various school competitions we are involved in.. we trust in these things and we conveniently forget about His kingdom... we forget that these things fade away and they don't last while His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and what we invest in the Lord's kingdom counts for eternity! And the reason why many of us are so down and upset when we don't get what we want academically or we don't get the grades and results that we expect is cos when these "gods" in our lives fail us, we fall with them... we've trusted in them too much, not on the Lord... so when we do badly in these things we go down with them... so if you're reading this and you know that you're part of this category, then may i suggest that you pause right now and take some time to get back on the right footing with the Lord... He's always faithful! :) the Lord never changes.. He's always enthroned over all.. and when our trust and focus is on Him, even in "bad" times, we won't be down or upset knowing that everything is in His control! :)

So.... what are you studying for? :) ...

So whatever can be shaken will be shaken... God will shake the heavens and the earth... read the book of Haggai.. i was impressed to read it again lately.. remember when David tried to put the ark of the covenant on the ox cart? God initiated a shaking on the threshing floor and Uzzah died... a shaking is coming.. and if we trust in things that can be shaken, we'll fall with them when they are shaken... heaven and earth will pass away but His Word will never pass away! :)
