No Condemnation
Ok... here's what's been going on..
Had my first tutorial for SC1101E on Thursday and it was very funny.. Here's wad happened. I went to the tutorial venue slightly late so everyone else was seated already. The venue was like at the 6th floor and i was panting cos silly me refused to take the lift and chose to climb the staircase instead. So I walked in and saw the tutor. I approached her to have my attendance taken and then she started speaking to me in Japanese! So i found out that i was in the wrong tutorial group and that I climbed 6 floors up just to find that. So anyways, went to Sociology department to check things out and the lecturer wasn't in his office. I looked for the tutor but he wasn't around either (for obvious reasons)! So i went to the library to check out the IVLE and CORS pages again and i found out where the blunder was- i took down the wrong tutorial group venue cos i was looking at the wrong timing! So in the end i think i was more than 20 mins late for class.. :P
Yesterday had Southeast Asian lecture. And guess wad- the lecturer was lecturing in a sarong...hahaha.. so cool.
After lecture, headed down to Expo to have dinner with MY and we went to city harvest together. Apparently Ulf Ekman was in town so he asked me whether I'd like to go. It was a great experience lah. I felt that the Holy Spirit was there even when we were just outside the auditorium. The presence of God was there during the worship and i just enjoyed it. Apparently, we sang Did you Feel the Mountains Tremble in Chinese amongst other songs..haha.. they didn't give the hanyu pinyin on the powerpoint lah but my spirit was still worshipping the Lord and the Holy Spirit also ministered to me. :) Then during worship, the Lord showed me a trash can and He wanted me to throw certain things away in my life lah, including the past. Thank God also for the nice man in front of me and the nice lady behind me who offered me mints wen they heard me coughing.. was quite blessed by that simple act cos usually people dun bother mah...
Pastor Ulf preached a message about blessing. Mingyang and I were discussing it while on the way back lah. Took bus home from Changi Airport and i was thinking about those things that we were talking about; When we bless other people with what we've been given, what happens is that we receive in ourselves the capacity to receive more blessing! So part of the reward comes to us directly when our heart and character is enlarged. Cos the kingdom of God is within us and in contributing to the kingdom, we receive part of the reward in ourselves. The opposite is also true. Romans 1 tells us of the wrath of God against mankind and how people received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Many times, we focus on the material, physical aspect of the blessing that we miss out on the eternal, unseen aspect of it!
Ok so anyway, here are the words of a song which i believe the Lord was speaking to me when i was on my way to expo. It's from Romans 8:1:
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.
cheem huh... but wonderful! ;)
God bless ya! ;)
