Update

Wah... havent blogged for so long... had 2 essays to rush this week... ok this is gonna be a long one... i'm a history major after all rite? ;)

10 Feb Saturday
Went for Youth Service as usual... Oh... and i finally got ppl to act in the skit for connection 33:3! thx guys.. you know who you are! ;) Den went for dinner at J8 with joel, jonjon, rayson, nic and gideon...haha.. but didn't really feel like eating even when i saw them eating pepper lunch so just accompanied them.. then had a nice conversation with ****** on the way home and his hunger for the things of God really inspires me lah... after that, brought back some food home to eat..

11 Feb Sunday
Had new team combined worship in the morning lah... was initially playing keyboard and den Dorothy asked me if i wanted to take over leading... initially i wasn't really feeling ready to lead lah cos it was quite sudden.. found it hard to break through in the worship at first also lah... but thank You Holy Spirit cos without You i wouldn't have known what to do. At first, it seemed that we weren't really flowing.. then i felt that i should ask everyone to sit down and focus on God and i was quite reluctant to do it at first cos i figured that if i did, ppl would fall asleep lah... but nvm... i finally went with it lah and the worship rose from there... It really pays to obeys Him! :) I was kinda unprepared lah but then when the Holy Spirit took over, it was actually quite easy! :) Thank You, thank You, thank You, Holy Spirit! :) When we went around praying for people, i was also quite amazed at the Lord's work in their lives and what the Lord was saying to them... really.. i'm very excited for them cos of the destinies that they have in the Lord! i believe it was the Lord's work... the reason why it's so wonderful and marvellous is because it is where my human abilities end and where God takes over! :)

After new team had 2nd liners cell which lasted for quite a short time so i managed to spend some time upstairs in Children's Church. After that, ran through the script with ele and al then went to practice for the prayer convocation again.. but was really very tired lah so i slacked quite a bit.. oh and guess who joined us to dance for a while...? ;)

Dinner at IKEA (again) with the Lows, Mr Tay and Arun. Quite a long and tiring day lah...

12 Feb Monday
Good thing i had a free day... had to do my EN2113 essay... i decided to go to Botak Jones for lunch but went out of the house late so i was already hungry... took the wrong bus and ended up walking there and by the time i got there, i realised that it was closed on mondays... -_-" So got a few polar puffs from the gas station nearby instead...

While spending time with the Lord at night, i asked Him to fill my heart with compassion, compassion that would motivate me to reach the lost... cos change has to come from the inside.. and if we're just gonna force ourselves to evangelise just to get the numbers or just to please our leaders, it's gonna be so artificial lah.. i want to see the reality of His kingdom... both on the inside and the outside! :)

13 Feb Tuesday
My long day... but it ended early so i decided to go to Vivo last minute... got the attire i'm going to dance with for the prayer conv. Couldn't find the pants i wanted at Vivo so i went to plaza sing instead... they didn't have it there either but just before i went home, i decided to check Cathay and they had it there... haha and it was the last one on the rack in my size! Really thank God that He made sure i got the attire that i wanted! :)

When i got home, there were just many things running through my mind lah and was feling kinda far from God cos of some issues... i believe the shaking has begun... but anyway while i was praying, i felt the presence of the Lord with me and He was just there to comfort me and to deal with some of the stuff I'm going through... Thank You, Holy Spirit! :)

14 Feb Wednesday
Went to school just for DG but left early. Pastor Ban asked if i could lead worship for prayer meeting cos Errol was not feeling well so i agreed. Thanks Jerry and JK for agreeing to play drums and sing backup at the last minute! :) During the worship, there were 2 impressions that came to me that i believe that the Lord was saying. Firstly, that the fields are ripe for harvest. :) The other thing that i felt the Lord was saying was sow the wind, reap the whirlwind. This is taken from Hosea 8:7. What i believe this means is that if we sow nothing, we would reap destruction. Cos this is a time and season when God is asking us to build His house, to focus on and prioritise kingdom things first... but many a times, we go with the faithless and carnal mindset and we put other things before God and rather remain in the status quo instead of wanting to have a part in advancing His kingdom. Or rather, we serve God to a certain measure, as long as it's convenient. We don't go all the way; we serve God on our own terms instead of His. This should not be cos if we act this way, we sow the wind- we don't sow anything substantial and long-lasting in His kingdom cos it doesnt come from an attitude of faith. The result? We reap the whirlwind, we reap destruction- when we are not prepared for the times ahead, when they do come we will be affected by it and we may not have the right character to handle it. It's time that we put our hands to the plough and go all the way with Jesus istead of eating the bread of idleness! :)

15 Feb Thursday
Had TS practicals and Soci tutorial which was quite fun lah... During TS practicals, Ms Samosir was showing us how we can't speak if there's no breath. And i found that there were a lot of spiritual parallels that we can draw from it...

After school, got my "lunch" from business and joined Melvin and co. for PIG for a while (PIG= Prayer Interest Group) lol... So apparently, Melvin was sharing his heart for the campus and shared from a verse saying something also about the field being ripe for harvest. It was interesting cos that's exactly what the Lord has been speaking to me about...

Oh.. and i got one important announcement. i am officially in love... yes... in love with the chocolate brownies with wallnuts from business fac's western stall... they're only $2 and they taste especially good when the uncle warms them up and drizzles the Hershey's chocolate syrup onto them... oooh! :)

16 Feb Friday
This is probably one of my more uneventful Fridays.. only had 1 lesson in school.. on my way to school, seeing all the secondary school kids running around the bus stop made me think about my career as a teacher... then God was speaking to me and i had a little impression to teach in a particular school.. :) i'm not gonna say what it is lah cos i want confirmation.. if u want to know what it is, here's how you can find out: 1) lock urself in ur prayer closet 2) hear from God 3) tell chris about it... :D

Was supposed to do recording but something was up in NAFA so cannot lah so went for haircut after school cos my hair was getting kinda long (yes, i went to the barber for those of you who think i use a bowl :P)..saw the EC house at j8 so crowded with ppl hoping to get a hair cut for CNY i think.. so i walked down the road to the barbershop i used to go to when i still stayed in bishan and i was surprised to see that it wasn't as packed. wonder why other ppl din think of going to the barbershop instead... went straight home after that to finish HY essay and submit it into the workbin. Then... i went to sleep. :)

(that's why I'm awake at this odd hour posting this...:P)
