"I'm right behind you..."
Something really funnny happened today and i must really blog this...
Had 4 hours of Murfett today... or at least supposed to... Woke up late this morning and so i was late for Murfett's 8am lecture... i strolled into class 9+am and Bei informed me that Murfett was asking about my whereabouts during the break ( i didn't know he would actually bother)...
So anyway, with the first 2 hours gone, it was time for our 2 hour tutorial with him... Yvonne, Bei and i headed for the canteen first to see if i might get anything before the class... when there was nothing to my fancy, we headed down to As3 for the class.. The other 2 were thinking of visiting the toilet first and not wanting to be late, we quickened our steps.. then, the conversation went something like this..
Me: Eh we better hurry up... skali Murfett sees us camping over there...
(the guy walking behind me leans over...)
Murfett: I'm right behind you...
hahahahhahahahahahahahha... then the three of us burst into laughter... especially me... even Murfett himself was amused... even so that he had to tell the entire tutorial class about the incident...
Den while he was taking attendance, he called my name... and satirically remarked in his natural British accent
"Christian... oh how nice for you to join us..." (referring to the fact that i strolled into class late)
and that too didn't fail in stimulating a few sniggers and amused responses from the class...
And the fun didn't stop there...
Bahasa Class. We got to do role-play and some of us got to be fruit sellers while the rest got to be customers who went around haggling with the different fruit stall owners. The experience was complete with paper fruit and paper money. And guess wad... i got to be one of the fruit sellers!!! And you know i hate handling money! What's more is that i get to do it in Indonesian!! And people get to haggle with me!! And you know how buying something simple in Indonesia can go to the thousands!! Now take a"simple" figure of Rp4250 for a pineapple (satu buah nanas)... i have to churn out the figure empat ribu dua ratus lima puluh rupiah (which can be quite a mouthful when you have to do it for every customer that comes along your way...) haha.. it was stressful to say the least! I had to inteject with some exclamations... in such augmenting mannger: "wait ah..." "OKOK!! One at a time!!!" "I CANT MULTITASK!!!" haha... but it proved to be quite fun lah... i'm glad i took Bahasa Indo this semester! :)
cheers
