Yesterday
This is not a joke.
I gave him a few punches that sent him reeling. He found it hard to return me the favour, surprisingly enough considering that i was the rookie... Needless to say i won the first match with my uppercuts jabbing against his jaw. The next match, however, all he needed to do was to send a few successive jabs in my direction and that left me helpless... then he gave me one decisive shot that nearly broke my neck... and all this happened within the context of one extremely dark little secret that i unearthed yesterday...
Abel Tan has a Wii!!! yes he does, ladies and gentlemen... and he managed to keep it a secret (not deliberately though) for a few months now!!! yeah, initially that made me sick but he was nice enough to invite me over to get my hands on it... literally... and well yes, we had a few rounds of boxing... looking totally dumb with all those moves using the Wii remote and nunchuck...
i literally sweated it out... and congrats to his magnificent ability.. that a lifegroup member finally succeeced in making his LG leader do some exercise... settling for something less tiring, we settled for Mario and Sonic at the olympics... running, rowing, archery, trampoline... until even that was too much of a physical rigour...
so we moved on to play Lego Indiana Jones.. oh and that was delightfully engaging.. i knew i still had it in me despite having given up my Gamecube a few years ago.. i played that for hours.. it was single-player so all Abel could do was talk... until he conveniently fell asleep on the couch (tired from talking too much no doubt...) and i had to carry on with the level... and i was stuck at a particular point until he jolted up to a sound of an explosion in the game whereupon his golden advice managed to yield me access to continue on with the level...
hmmm... fun! :)
