Life Group Test
here's the test i gave my LG on saturday... the top few won for themselves a humble bar of snickers... the reason why i gave it to them is because i wanted them to see that God has given us soooo much as believers and that we need to know what He has given us so that we can be faithful in using them... many times, we underestimate the power and all the good stuff that comes with the things that God has given us.. many times we only have a simple understanding and if we dun go beyond that, we can never truly fully use the weapons and resources that God has given us... so i gave them this test to stretch their boundaries a little bit on certain simple concepts they would encounter in Christianity.. i am posting it here for anyone interested enough to take a look... oh and btw to all those of you who still bother to read my blog... the first one to give me the most number of correct ans on my tagboard will get from me a bar of snickers this weekend... :P (and no, the ans to no. 10 is NOT Gandalf...)
LifeGroup Test
On general Christian life…
Instructions: Each item below describes something that you may have come across during your years as a faithful church-going Christian. Most of you would have already gone through a number of them or most of them. This test is for you to identify which activity or Christian phenomenon corresponds to each of the descriptions below.
Note: Please do not provide long answers. Each answer need only be a word or a short phrase of a few words. By now you should be *somewhat* familiar with technical Christian jargon… Enjoy :) and dun think too much…
1. The process by which we are able to transact and communicate with God into His realm where He is seated to gain His perspective and receive His will, blessings, commissionings and divine power and provision that we may enforce and appropriate the victory of Christ in a given specific situation or our given sphere of influence.
Ans:
2. The process by which we have unhindered access and communication with God through our spirits, free of our soulish opinion yet full of inexplicable heavenly mysteries to which even the devil is not privy to.
Ans:
3. The process by which we are regenerated by the Word of God, the incorruptible seed planted within us where our spirit, by this same process being made alive, now has direct access to God. This same process has many other benefits, too much to list here, but offering no less than the beginning of a complete transformation of a person and a new eternal identity by which an individual may now live his life on earth in the context of heavenly reality
Ans:
4. The primary way by which God reveals Himself and His eternal unchanging virtues and attributes, attested to by both time and man, the consistency of which would prove unerring and insurmountable to seeker and skeptic alike, and the discipline of which have even convinced some of the reality of the Lord and his faithful promises, as sure today as it has unfolded throughout the ages.
Ans:
5. The supernatural substance by which we apprehend and appropriate God’s promises; the capacity of having the intangible being made manifest into reality and the confident expectation of possessing it despite natural circumstances indicating otherwise. This is the currency of heaven, the medium by which divine transactions are made and appropriated upon the earth.
Ans:
6. The release of God’s creative expression, wisdom and revelation (of Himself) on earth in various forms, to and through His people in various spheres of responsibility, often declaratively conveying special information which transcends temporal boundaries and that would help to further His Kingdom in bringing specific insight, direction, edification, comfort, encouragement and in some cases, chastisement, especially toward a particular given matter or situation.
Ans:
7. The Third Person of the Godhead overflowing in the life of the believer enabling him and equipping him with the supernatural miracle-working power for ministry, to reach the lost and to live a supernatural life as a witness to the reality of Jesus Christ even to the point of shedding one’s blood in being counted for the truth. Among other effects, this process also draws the believer to a radical intimacy with Jesus as well as a strengthened and deeper prayer life.
Ans:
8. The special consecrated government and army through which God chooses to move to release, establish and enforce His will and righteous rule on the earth; the gates through which the very sound, purposes and reality of heaven penetrates the earth and different fields in society, advancing His kingdom, proclaiming His triumph on the cross and heralding His soon return for the culmination of the ages.
Ans:
9. The very substance and essence of God, an indestructible virtue that is incarnational and beyond intellectual or emotional. It calls ordinary people to suffer for a cause and to give of their own, even their lives. It is insurmountable in its attributes and it is the never-failing approach and solution to any given trying situation. Those who possess such a virtue would never be defeated.
Ans:
10. He whose eyes are like blazing fire, whose head and hair are as white as wool and whose feet are like burnished bronze, out of whose mouth came a sharp two-edged sword. He was with God in the beginning and is known as the Logos incarnate. He is appointed by God far above all rule and authority, power and dominion and every title that can be given not only in the present age but also in the one to come. He is the chief of God’s holy government, the firstborn of all creation, the author and perfecter of one’s Christian journey.
