yikes... the olympic games have come and gone, i'm three weeks into school and i haven't been blogging in such a long while... haha... i huess part of the reason besides being lazy is the fact that i've finally decided to write down my thoughts in a prayer journal so that i won't forget them.. and therefore, i dun blog them as much anymore... hmmm but i guess i'll still post a couple of insights worth reading every now and then... hoping to get the blogging momentum going again.. :P

oh by the way, praise God that i have a 3-day week!!! i was praying in my heart when doing the tutorial balloting and hinting the excuse to God that since He wanted me to pray more, that He should make the necessary arrangements... :P

wanted to blog about an interesting that happened yesterday... i was in church for prayer meeting and i was playing with little janan.. he's ever so active and can be quite cheeky at times.. and pastor ban was talking to him about lizards and somehow their conversation evolved to talking about cockroaches.. and he went around telling auntie gemma and i that he likes to eat cockroaches.. of course, he didn't really mean it but he was just being cheeky.. so i decided to give him a taste of his own medicine.. :P i enthusiastically got up and told him.. "You want to eat cockroach rite? ok i go and get cockroach for you in the kitchen..." so i made my way to the kitchen and janan protested.. he ran to me and grabbed my arm and tried to drag me back to keep me from fulfilling my duty... lol... and half-amused, i persisted saying "you said you liked eating cockroach wad...".. naturally, the little boy wasn't strong enough to keep me.. so i continued in my advance and he continued in his partially-amused-but-quite-distressed effort to pull me back... he really thought i was gonna get some cockraches from the kitchen for him to eat! until we came to that door in the sanctuary going into the kitchen.. realising that his efforts were futile, he started crying... of course i was just pulling his leg so i relented and got him to stop crying and told him i was just joking.. and within seconds he was happy again... lol...

of course, it was too good a prank not to repeat so when he was in the kitchen later, i pretended to open the cupboards pretending to take out a bag of "lizards" for his consumption.. (i think it was actually coffee powder or something..) den he started becoming distressed again pleading with me not to open it... lol... so i "blackmailed" a hug from him and returned the bag into the cupboard... haha... im not usually so mean lah... but janan looks really cute when he cries... disclaimer.. btw, i write this cos it's kinda amusing.. well at least to me it is.. not meant to be an example for those of you overly-enthusiastic self-appointed toddler-terrorists to follow... yeah and later i had to repent under the conviction of the Holy Spirit for betraying the trust of a child... He takes it a serious matter... after all, the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as them... so dun get any ideas.. :P

children trust and believe so easily...
children forgive so easily...
children get over distress and get back on their feet so easily...
there's much we can learn from them.. :)

God bless! :D
