@ the Hypermart
I didn't have school today so i stayed at home most of the time.. but i decided to take a trip down AMK Hub in the afternoon to get myself some groceries.. but two things weren't quite right in this equation.. firstly, chris was hungry.. second, chris was surrounded with food! yup! you've guessed it! i've overspent on my budget again! well you see, i found out that they carried my favourite brand of oil and vinegar dressing and though i had pretty much in the basket as it was, i decided that there was some more room for the dressing and some greens to go with it...
and so the Holy Spirit, wanting to teach me a lesson about prudence didn't leave me alone.. i was left with an uncomfortable streak in my conscience and i had to dish it out with Him.. well, no excuse would justify it as i tried to rationalise the issue with my need for fibre and more vitamin c... what motivated my lack of prudence was just plain greed.. clear and simple...
and as i was meditating upon the situation with Holy Spirit's guidance, He left me with something deep to think about; He could have easily caused me to be born into a wealthy family if He wanted to.. He could easily give me more in my bank account if He wanted to.. cos He not limited by human means at all.. but the question is why did He choose to leave me with the amount of $ i have now?? why not more since it's so easy for Him to do so and for me to call upon God as Father?? and the answer came as clear as a whistle.. He wants me to learn prudence and good stewardship with what i already have cos it's gonna train me for the future... for His plans for my life, for my destiny that would unfold.. He wants to build wisdom ito me so that when the time comes for me to handle larger amounts of $, i will be a great steward of it... and He was showing me that this applies for stewarding not just money but other aspects of life and resources that He provides us with in the present... so if im gonna make way for my futre, i'd better start living my life with wisdom and prudence now and be trained by Him so that when the time comes, i'm prepared to take up greater responsibility and step into my destiny...
every little step counts...
