Take my Life and Let it Be

Yesterday i was on the bus and i was just reminded of this hymn.. i first heard it when i was a young kid listening to songs from those Psalty casette tapes.. and it became my favourite song from that particular one.. Yesterday, when i reflected upon the words of this song and started humming it before God, the presence of God came down in the bus and i started crying and tearing in His Presence.. and i was praying as the Lord began to speak into my heart through the song.. the first line goes "take my life and let it be consecrated Lord to Thee" and i realised how i haven't been living my life consecrated before Him, how i've been living my life in compromise... the words of the song were really deep and they impacted me... seems like the Lord likes to ambush me on the bus.. good thing there were not many people and i just kept my head down and pretended i was sleeping.. :P well you don't have to have music to have the presence of God.. you don't even need your ipod to stimulate you to worship... you just need the Holy Spirit and a willing heart to worship Him.. you don't have to be in church just to experience His touch, or even have some hyper preacher lay his hands on you.. you can worship God and experience Him anytime, anywhere! :) Here are the lyrics...

Take my Life and Let it Be

Take my life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord to Thee
Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love
At the impulse of Thy love

Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee
Take my voice and let me sing
Always, only for my King
Always, only for my King

Take my silver and my gold
Not a mite would i withold
Take my moments and my days
Let them flow in ceaseless praise
Let them flow in ceaseless praise

Take my will and make it Thine
It shall be no longer mine
Take my heart, it is Thy own
It shall be Thy royal throne
It shall be Thy royal throne

Take my life, let it be
Consecrated, Lord to Thee...
