Taking Stock

I can't believe 3 months passed by just like that! School is officially starting tomorrow and this was the last weekend of my holidays... here's how i spent it...

Friday evening was spent having rehearsals for the 40th anniversary musicals... Quan Quan came by before that just to say hi.. nice to see him again after so long... Saturday afternoon came down for worship prac and played keys.. den we broke up for LG and it was the first time after o long that my LG came down in full strength! I'm so happy about that.. and guess wad.. we're all planning to do some street-e next LG outing.. :) Something hapened during LG that alerted me to the reality of what God is doing in our midst... During Lg, i asked everyone to contribute a reason why we don't see very much evangelism going on nowadays, even in church... Den Lele said "leaders lor"... when i asked him what he meant by that, he said "the leaders are not rising up"... that stunned me for a while but i was proud that he was able to give such a profound, prophetic and mature answer.. when i asked him today where he got that from, he just knew it.. i didn't expect a primary 5 boy to come up with that answer. Turns out that he's very on to go for street-e.. that boy has a pastoral gifting and you can really see the spark that God has lighted in his life.. his sharp yet truthful words remind me of his father- the closest you can get to a prophet in Salem Chapel... My prayer is that God will continue to stir him and raise him up.. :)

After LG, headed down to Raja's Wedding... was telling some ppl how vexing it is to be a pastor.. cos you have to be smiling all the time and all that.. well, i'm not one yet so what do i know about it??... Played a good bit with Keri-Ann though.. she's growing up really fast.. haha.. but my old trick of entertaining her and getting her attention using the handphone still works nonetheless... :)

Sunday morning was spent at new team.. seems that everyone's getting better in playing their instruments... Den spent a short while having 2nd liners cell after that.. what was significant was when Pastor ban asked us all to join them at the main sanctuary at 12pm cos they were doing some symbollic repentance regarding turning the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers... what was sad was that it seemed a great deal of the congregation was oblivious to the spiritual significance of what was taking place... cos a few years ago, during wednesday prayer meeting, the Holy Spirit impressed upon me one of the signs for revival.. before Christ comes, that is before revival comes to the church, God will send the spirit of Elijah to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers.. guess wad.. it came to pass today! We just passed by another signpost that the Lord gave to signify that revival is so near... do you perceive it?! ;)

After church, we had CC servers meeting when we were all delayed by *ahem* cos he had to submit a repot by 2pm.. hahaha... ok anyway, after that went with serene to JK's house and we watched the 2 Bourne videos... i thought of doing some "revision" first before taking a look at the latest one.. haha... and there a few funny things that happened.. the incident with the Maggie noodles, the incident with the flying beetle, etc.. haha... more interesting if i told you in person...
